Na 3 dagen correcte upgrade gekregen
Eerste 3 dagen naast verbouwingswerken geplaatst, maar wel 200 per nacht moeten betalen
Clean room and great beds. Staff are friendly and good choice for breakfast. Very comfortable beds, had a good sleep here. Nice big outdoor pool, has a gym and sauna and a rooftop bar as well. Location is also great to very nice restaurants and street just down the road. Good area, also not far 25mins from centre of Funchal.
Hotel itself seems a bit outdated and like its aging. Also the parking fills up quickly and although I didn't struggle to park there was risk of that if we had no left for hiking early in the morning and then came back before everyone got back.

The room was great, spacious and overall comfortable but some amenities were missing like toothbrush.

Durante o check-in fomos informados sobre todos os serviços e comodidades do hotel, bem como tudo o que este podia proporcionar aos hóspedes. No entanto, esqueceram-se de mencionar um detalhe muito importante: o hotel encontra-se em obras.
As obras começavam às 7h40 da manhã e prolongavam-se até às 20h, tornando impossível ter qualquer descanso ou sossego durante a estadia. Quando apresentámos a situação à receção, fomos informados de que nada podiam fazer porque o hotel estava cheio. Além disso, disseram-nos que a informação sobre as obras estava indicada na Booking, o que não corresponde à verdade.
Para piorar a experiência, no primeiro pequeno-almoço, ao pedir um café, fomos informados de que o café expresso “normal” era pago à parte, apesar de o pequeno-almoço estar incluído na estadia.
Infelizmente, foi uma experiência muito dececionante e muito abaixo do esperado.

I had a big problem with no single bed in room as advertised, only a sofa bed, only fit for a child, As we were 3 elderly people, using a sofa bed was not acceptable and I injured my back using it, we did tell the staff when we arrived that we could not use it and they did try to make it comfortable with extra bedding. We booked this hotel as it stated a single bed and was adults only so did not expect a pull out bed. It was not good enough in my opinion but the staff did their best but I am still suffering from a bad back so my holliday was not worth it. We were in room 509
The hotel was incredibly clean, well located and the staff were amongst the most friendly and helpful amongst any staff we have ever had to deal with on our travels. We could not recommend this hotel more for the basis of your stay in Madeira. The breakfast was well stocked and varied, the entire hotel from the rooms to the indoor pools were clean and the restaurant was fantastic. The views from the roof, our room and the pool areas were great bonuses as well.
The hill to walk back to the hotel from the centre, but this is out of the hotels control.

The free upgrade to the suite was an amazing surprise! The staff were nice and helpful, and the rooftop bar was lovely too.
The front doors were not automatic. The lane leading to the property let it down too. No coffee machine in the room either and two tiny little milks (needed much more).
Overall really great hotel, nice little spa and gym, rooftop is awesome, staff is nice, great rooms.
Medium quality of the product served for breakfast, especially fruits, juices, and cold meats. Cold pools.
Locatie is top. Voor het hotel en in wat straten verder op gaan met hoge frequentie bussen naar het centrum van Funchal. In de omgeving van het hotel zijn ook goede restaurants te vinden. Het zwembad is mooi en groot.
Het hotel geeft de indruk van vergane glorie. Het ontbijt was oké, maar niet super. Veel eten is droog of ligt lange tijd klaar. Direct aan het hotel grenzend worden bouwwerkzaamheden uitgevoerd. Wij keken direct op de bouwplaats. Er wordt elke dag gewerkt van 08.00-20.00u en er is veel geluidsoverlast. We zijn vooraf niet door het hotel hierover geïnformeerd. Klachten hierover worden niet opgepakt. Parkeren kost €15 per dag op een onmogelijk kleine parkeerplaats, waar je alleen terecht kan als er plaats is, ook al heb je er voor betaald. Parkeergarages in de omgeving rekenen 4-6€ per 24u.
