Enjoyed our short spring break at the Golf view with its great location, pool, etc. Loved the cooked breakfasts.
Location is the best part of the Golf View hotel, with an opportunity to sit and enjoy an unrivalled view!
Beautiful location for a nice sea side getaway, or Easter holiday. Staff were nice. They were able to accommodate my allergies.
Bathroom smelled of paint and windows are older so they couldn’t lock efficiently.
Beautiful setting, well appointed room with a sea view and a roll top bath😁. Calming spa area, warm pool and great outdoor hot tub overlooking the Moray Firth.

Great location, very relaxed atmosphere, pleasant staff.
Although our room was spacious and comfortable we had a sleepless night as the guests above us weremoving furniture/equipment around at 11.30pm, 1.30am and 6.00am.
I specified a room with a bath, but the room I was given didn’t have one. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient and moved me to a room with a bath without any fuss.
There was nothing I didn’t like.
Stayed for a family party. Food at the event was good, although event runner thought opening welcome drink at 6 for dinner at 6.05 was a good idea. Room we had was large, and had a separate bunk bed room for our daughter, which was welcome. Hot water pressure was a joke, barely able to clean ourselves. Shower drain was very slow draining so you end up standing in dirty soapy water. As a result of the slow drain, it also leaks. Bathroom tiles are missing grout so just asking for the floor to rot. No bedside plug point in the 21st century. Families with children under 12 are basically excluded from using the swimming pool. Car park ev charge points also don't work.
Definitely visit again. Such a relaxing friendly hotel with beautiful views and excellent food and service.
breakfast has gone down hill a bit. Very poor choice of fresh fruit and what there was wasn't always ripe. Coffee now served from a machine and not great
see above
There were not enough staff on in the bar. We had to wait ages for coffee and drinks. There were also not enough waitresses on for dinner.
Since we last visited 4 years ago, the spa has had investment and been improved, but the breakfast service has declined. Unlike previously where you were served tea/coffee and toast at the table you now have to go and queue to get your drinks and toast from plastic bags or tins. Not really 4-star service.
Hotel has great view towards the waterfront.
Parking on site and easy walks nearby
We had to book an extra night and the cost was double we paid for the initial night via Expedia.
Food and drink very expensive
Lift was not working so everyone using the stairs
Room was old fashioned in decor
Comfortable overall but not worth the rate we paid for the extra night
Little touches like the welcoming journal, gluten free biscuits on the tea tray, lovely staff, clean hotel in ideal location
Nothing
Incredible location, couldn’t be better situated on the coast.
Food service was good and the actual food surprisingly good.
Tired both with the decor and the staff.
