Room was good but noise from work
We stayed here for just one night and had a lovely time. We arrived early and asked if we could park our car in the car park as we wanted to explore Nairn - this was no problem at all. When we checked in at 3pm the receptionist was just lovely and the whole process went very smoothly - we even got a complementary room upgrade! We went straight down to the pool/spa area which was included in our stay. We had got told that it had been recently upgraded and we were very impressed. Very clean and new looking. We spent a very relaxing afternoon using the various facilities.
We opted to dine at the hotel that evening. The food was so much better than I was expecting after seeing some of the trip advisor reviews. We really enjoyed our meal and the service was great. The room we had was very clean and well cared for. The breakfast options were varied (buffet and you ordered a cooked meal) and very tasty. Every member of staff we met were very friendly and helpful.
A quiet and relaxing atmosphere to eat with lovely views over the Moray Forth.
na
Being upgraded for free - that was a lovely surprise when I arrived at the hotel late for just one night.
Nothing too much.
Really good sized room and bathroom
Breakfast choices really good
Staff very friendly
Sea view
Lift was out of order but fortunately not too much of a problem as not much luggage.
Shampoo/body wash etc all difficult to open .
Also Thermal experience locks weren't working so although paid for could be accessed by anyone .
I like the ambience of the place and the pool and facilities and breakfast and dinner.
The dinning room was a little chilly it made the evening meal a little uncomfortable, mind you there was a pretty wild storm
that night.
Staff were very attentive and friendly
Spa was lovely
Nothing
Everything was lovely as usual! We will Aways come back
No communication between the staff, I had a family member call up and ask to pay towards my dinner bill. I was never told about it and never knew the money was added to room until I check out by that time it was too late as I had already paid as I went. They had to transfer it back to her. Lack of communication there which is a shame.
The spa
They have tea and coffee machine and stopped give tea pots with breakfast
Spa was great food was very good.
Room 10 we did not have any hot water from the sink tab or the bath tap shower was ok.
The friendliness of all the staff
The shower tray was very slippery so I do think rubber mats would be a good idea
The hotel was very lovely and clean. Staff was so polite, friendly and professional.
The restaurant had amazing views of the sea, it was an absolute joy to eat in that space. The food was great, especially the taste of Hickory menu.
We did not have great mobile phone network reception so that made accessing data or wi-fi internet very difficult. Not sure how the hotel can fix that, it's more of a coverage area, perhaps.
Fantastic location with great views from the outside patio area. Wonderful food and very comfortable room again with great sea views. Spa area was great. A real gem of a hotel.
