Pros:

The room was fantastic and the view was gorgeous. The little touches made a big difference down to the radio and old phone. The bed was so comfortable and the room was huge and the decor was gorgeous. The dog package was appreciated. The food was excellent.

Cons:

The lift wasn’t working and we were on the top floor. The water pressure in the shower was just a trickle and when we reported it the staff made excuses like it’s an old building try running the sink tap it could be an air lock. We did that and it made no difference. We went to have a shower in the spa instead but there was only one shower and had to wait for other people to use it first.
The coffee machine wasn’t working and it took a long time to get a drink. It would be a simple fix to put a machine in the restaurant so people can help them selves as my breakfast was almost gone before I got my drink. The service was slow and we had to ask for everything instead of being offered and it was not busy. My partner went down to get me a drink later in the evening as we were watching football in the room and the barman commented on how many he had already and shamed him in front of everyone when it wasn’t even for him. I couldn’t face the six flight of stairs in the 27 degree heat as I have lung issues due to radiotherapy. There wasn’t a big choice of food on the menu but what I had was fantastic.

The reception team didn't know about local activities including fishing when it stated ask us? Neighbour to property lit a fire which consumed not only the room for the whole stay 2 days, but my clothes, which had a lovely smell of smoke, we wee told it was just one of those things. Also the water was turned off for some time and was orange when turned on, it would have been courteous to inform.the restaurant manager was rude and seemed under pressure. The serving staff amazing.

Apart from breakfast an enjoyable stay
Pros:

Love the lounge area. Food at lunch and dinner is wonderful highly recommend. The views and short walk to the beach are a plus. Spa facilities are very good, clean and welcoming. Staff were accomodating.

Cons:

We ordered scrambled eggs on the 2nd moring but they brought out an omelette instead. We told the waiter who said let me correct that for you. A few minutes later he returned and said sorry the table order got mixed up with another and placed the 'scrambled eggs' on the table. The order clearly hadn't been mixed up as what was put back on the table was the original omelette chopped up and put in a metal ring. Although, we mentioned to the waiter who said he would replace it we were fed up and left by this point. This is unacceptable, mistakes happen but don't lie and try to cover it up. When it got busy staff struggled and became disorganised at breakfast. Left a taint on what was an ejoyable stay.

Lovely setting and friendly people but trying to shower was a major inconvenience

Cons:

No water pressure in showers. BBC on TV was very shaky and pixelated. Quite dirty around shower. Lift appears to have been out of order for some time (although we were advised of this before our stay) Biggest disappointment was the shower. It was like standing under a leaky tap

Would stay again!
Pros:

We absolutely love the hotel! We've stayed here before and were very excited to visit again. Beautiful hotel, great location, great staff, great meals!

Cons:

The room was great, just too warm for good sleep. The window barely opens, providing little relief. It was very cool outside, but we couldn't get the cool air into the room, even with the small fan. We of course were the warmest floor, as it was cooler towards floors 1 and 2.
