Had an amazing experience at Muthu Gardens! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, and beautifully prepared. The service was just as impressive — a big thank you to Chetan and Zakir for being so friendly, attentive, and making sure everything was perfect throughout our visit.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food and wonderful service. Will definitely be coming back!
This place boasts of a "Winter All Inclusive" package when the reality is that most of the places to eat & drink are closed. Those that are not, operate on a limited menu of 1-2 options. After trying for 2 fulls days, we eventually left in search of better food and drink, even if that meant paying out of pocket rather than enjoying the All Inclusive we paid for.
Jac's is the main restaurant for breakfast/lunch/dinner and to be honest, the food was OK. The beige buffet was pretty standard and enough to get us through. The "cakes & bakes" place for snacks during the day was a booth beside the bar with automatic coffee machines, defrosted frozen desserts and some pretty sad looking sandwiches. The Ocean Bar was the only place open that was included in the winter package and the drink was really bad. Like really, really bad. Everything else was closed. No barefoot bar, no poolside bar, no taco shack, no barista coffees, no italian restaurant....nothing. It's also worth nothing that most of the eateries are located at another hotel, not Clube Muthu. They are located in Muthu Gardens, about a 5 minute walk up a steep hill so not suitable for elderly or people with mobility issues. The Ocean Bar was so cold, people asked the staff to turn the heaters on. They looked at their watches and said it was too early and we had to wait so most people just left. The piano bar at reception is not included in the package so everything is priced separately but even at that, the quality was really poor. The rooms were not cleaned once during our entire 5 day stay. I had to walk to reception twice for toilet roll and clean towels. By the time we left, the place was crawling with ants - even though there was no food in the apartment. The layout of the hotel is incredibly confusing and it took us 7 HOURS to get into our room. Even the staff were embarrassed by the time they got us the room we paid for. I would not recommend this place to anyone with mobility issues, the elderly or anyone trying to save by purchasing an all inclusive. It is simply not worth the money and I will not be returning.
Overall our stay was enjoyable, the staff were very helpful. The grounds ( all greenery) was well maintained and a lovely place to chill, the rooms and were really nice, clean and comfortable. The issues we had was the pool area. We were there for 4 days and the pool area was not cleaned once, the bottle tops were under a longer at the pool when we got there and where still there on the day we left. Around the pool area was full of bird poo and sticky to walk on " which i had the misfortune to find out after walking without sandles". The loungers were absolutely cover in bird poo as well and some maintenance definitely needed. The attention around the pool with missing tiles and a really dirty shower area
Excellent.. good service 👌.. would definitely recommend 👌👌
We stayed here for a week. Our first European experience. We went in February, so not the prime season. It was quiteter. The resort is not brand new, but the views - especially areas A,B,C make up for any of that. You'll fall asleep to the sound of waves crashing. We even swam (quickly) - in February. It's an affordable way to experience Albufeira. It is a bit removed from the Old Albufiera, but we did not mind a 45 minute walk through this beautiful Ocean town. You can also use Bolt to get there. The immediate area and restaurants, were a bit touristy, and mostly non-Portuguese. But we did our research and found the hidden-gem local Portuguese eateries. Oh - the seafood!! It's just a relaxing place to be. If you have kids - sit by the pool and sip drinks. If not - go walking! Definitely get to the Old Town. The staff was friendly and helpful - and even made some adjustments to enhance our stay! There is a new lower second pool that does not show up on Google Earth.
We arrived early at around 11am and were able to check in, although not into our room straight away. We left a €100 deposit on card and were advised to return between 2–3pm to check on early room access. Luckily, we were allowed into our room earlier than the standard 5pm check-in, which was appreciated.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We were on the top floor and had a great view, with afternoon sun on the balcony, which was a real bonus. The room also had air conditioning, which kept it warm in the evenings.
One downside was that the room was very limited on kitchen utensils, which made cooking difficult. There were also no cleaning cloths or basic items provided for tidying up.
Housekeeping took place at varying times during the day with no clear pattern, but the staff were friendly enough when we interacted with them.
We didn’t make use of the hotel facilities, but it’s worth noting that the hotel is located on a hill, and the top-floor rooms do not have lift access, only stairs.
Yoandry, brilliant dance teacher. Had great fun, very friendly highly recommend.
Yoandry was great, he taught the dance class very well. Great energy and superb attitude!
Fantastic staff. Both Chetam and Jyoti were very friendly, funny and accommodating. Can’t boast about them enough
Amazing place the mandarin restaurant is by far the best food in the whole place. Our server Cretan and jydti went above and beyond, amazing warm people I wish them the best!
We visited the mandarin restaurant as part of the inclusive package at muthu praia de oura at muthu gardens. We were served by Chetan and Mahan who's customer service skills were exemplary ans they treated up like royalty. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thank you both 10 out of ten. I hope their management read this and reward them appropriately.
We returned to Albufeira expecting a great holiday, but sadly our stay at Muthu Clube Praia da Oura was very disappointing.
Check-in was confusing, we were sent off with just “Block E” and no directions. No lifts or ramps meant we had to drag our luggage up flights of stairs. The room had almost no storage so we lived out of our suitcases, and the balcony had no privacy as people could walk straight past.
Entertainment was almost non-existent, with events cancelled or lasting an hour at most. Bar staff were unfriendly, never greeted anyone, and the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. The food was very limited, especially for kids, and the speciality restaurant was a huge let-down with undercooked meats and everything served in a rush.
Most concerning was the lack of accessibility around the hotel. Lifts not working, steep ramps, and we witnessed a wheelchair user having to be carried up stairs because there was no lift. Completely unacceptable for any hotel.
However, we did have a lovely experience down at the Albufeira Marina. We went on a RIB boat trip and the crew — Marcus and James — were absolutely brilliant. I was really scared at first, but they came over, reassured me and made me feel at ease. Even though we didn’t see any dolphins, they made the trip amazing. Thank you both!
Sadly, the positives outside the hotel couldn’t make up for the issues during our stay. We won’t be returning to this hotel.
Amazing show , really liked it
It's been surprisinly above expectation at Muthu Clube Praia Da Oura Portugal. Staff very helpful. Food quality is at a very high standard. The Mexico meal today was very good with service by Chetam and team; excellent team.
Yoandry was amazing tonight in the karaoke the environment was good vibe and energy and we enjoyed his entertainment.it was a good night.
Yoandry was a great host at the karaoke, we loved his singing we had a lovely evening and we felt great afterwards. Thankou for a great evening.
Not alot to. Choose from on menu. All noodle and rice. Did not have fries or curry sauce. I think was only 4 options. Food was too plain for me. Overall service was very good.
Well i have +8 kilograms now, that was my task haha, thanks Chetan and your colleagues for the luxury treatment , i will recommend your place
Rooms are nice and clean, Mandarin restaurant was really good, tasty stir fried beef and chicken noodles that we had. Really nice service from Chetan and Madhav, allways checked on us so we would have enough deing and enjoy our food!
