A clean, basic, comfortable hotel within walking distance of the main attractions
Pros:

The hotel is a little tired & a bit shabby around the edges.

The staff we encountered were a delight ~ very friendly & helpful


We moved room after the first night ~ rooms at the front of the hotel are so noisy (road/traffic noise) … we were moved promptly to the back of the hotel - this room (206) was a lovely room, much bigger, lovely walk in shower, view out onto a small garden below & apartment buildings opposite.

Bed was comfortable & I do like separate duvets on a queen bed ~ great idea!

The usb sockets didn’t work in both of the rooms we stayed in

Breakfast is typical European, lots of options ~ I’m a veggie so enjoyed fresh fruits, cheese, pastures, nuts, dates, yogurt


If you are claustrophobic you will need a room on the lower floors ~ or be prepared to use the stairs… the elevator is tiny!


Location wise it’s not too bad ~ takes about 30 minutes to walk to the lake/ 15 mins to the train station.

Local public transport is free ~ you will be given a voucher when you check it out~ we used the buses & the trams every day & didn’t get asked for our tickets once! It’s just not what they do there… such a great system

Cons:

My daughter ate a yogurt at breakfast one morning & realised it had gone out of date about 5 days earlier ~ not great, but I guess a slip of concentration on stock control!

There are no bells & whistles in this hotel ~ however it’s a basic, clean, comfortable place to stay.

Empfehlenswert bei 3-4 tägigem Aufenthalt in Genf
Pros:

Kurze Wege zur Innenstadt, perfekte Anbindung an ÖPNV, Besuch von CERN und UNO mit Bus 11 bzw. Tram 18 auf direktem Weg möglich,Restaurants in der Nähe, gutes Frühstück

Cons:

On a busy street. Room was a little warm, you couldn’t open the windows due to the pigeons along with their droppings and feathers on the outside window ledge. Was a little bit of a walk into town. Not much to chose from for walkable restaurants.

Recommended stay for those that like bigger hotel rooms
Pros:

Big rooms, old style, with the possibility of opening the windows which was very much appreciated. Staff was very nice. The terrace is great. Location is very convenient.

I liked how central the hotel is. The room was nicely sized and clean. The bathroom was great. The wifi was very reliable.

le beau temps.

je n'ai pas eu la chambre que j'avais réservé avec un lit queen size car je suis très grand. j'ai eu à la place un lit d'une taille standard si bien que mes pieds dépassent du lit... pas très confortable. lorsque j'ai demandé pourquoi je ne bénéficiais pas de la chambre demandée, aucune réponse m' a été apportée. de plus les tickets des transports en commun de la ville de Genève ne sont pas remis systématiquement au client.
