We rented the hotel for the sole purpose of using the indoor pool for the kids. Upon arriving we noticed the hotel had just started doing construction to the whole pool area. There was no mention of that prior to booking and no compensation for our inconvenience.

Great stay before our Cruise!
Pros:

Comfortable beds and pillows! Staff was friendly at check in. Close to the beach. Short walk. Great location next to Doc Holidays restaurant.

My wife approves of this place, and she’s picky
Pros:

A great place to get away for a day. Just walk out the door and in a minute you’re at the beach. Everything you need is within walking distance. Our room had a view of the beach and was very comfortable.

Pros:

Great location with access to numerous restaurants and attractions. Right across the street from the Gulf. Rooms are better than most competitors in the area. Breakfast is ample.

Cons:

A little old and showing wear and tear. The floor squeaked terribly.
The woman at the desk around 3:00 pm was extremely rude. Older white woman, skinny.

The location is excellent, and the balcony faces the ocean, which was a wonderful bonus.
When we first entered the room, we noticed that the toilet handle was broken. We contacted the staff, and within 15 minutes someone arrived and fixed the issue.

Cons:

The room felt very cramped for four people, and the shower was quite small. During our stay, the hotel was undergoing renovations, which was not mentioned or disclosed anywhere prior to our arrival.

We knew we would be visiting during cold weather and relied on the indoor pool being available. Unfortunately, the pool was under renovation as well, and we were redirected to use the outdoor pool at a neighboring hotel.

Because the renovations were taking place while guests were staying at the hotel, there was a strong and unpleasant smell of paint throughout the property, and there were visible paint stains both inside our room and in the surrounding areas.

One of the elevators was out of service for an entire day, which caused long waiting times for the only working elevator (we were staying on the 5th floor).

Unfortunately, we also encountered cockroaches in the room, although this may have been related to the open balcony door.
