I would consider here again but not if the price was this expensive for one night!

The view and location

Cons:

The toilet had a water leak and every time you flushed water went all over the floor. We had to use a towel to keep it dry. Check in was 3 and we never got a room until 4:45. They need someone to watch the kids at the pool! They are very unruly and do not listen to the posted signs about jumping and diving into the pool. It was very crowded and unsafe for everyone. We had to leave. Breakfast was very limited and cold. You would think the hot items would be hot when u get them.

If staying in a hotel, I would do it again.

Not an ADA friendly Hotel
Pros:

No signage in the parking lot below and behind the hotel to indicate where to park or how to access the lobby. I ended up having to drag my luggage up a hill / drive to the 2nd floor to access the lobby. This is not ADA compliant property. The elevators and lobby areas were filthy. My room was recently upgraded and clean but I will not stay here again even though I am a loyal Hyatt customer.

Pros:

It's an older property that has been updated. The rooms are small & it would have been nice to have towel bars or hooks in the bathroom.
The staff is super nice.
The exercise room is very nice, clean, and had a good selection of equipment.
The location is great for exploring the coast.

Amazing stay.
Pros:

Great service. Great location. Great place to stay. Absolutely and always will recommend Hyatt to anyone. Never disappoint. My travel destination to any city or any country I’m travel to. Customer service is always on the top!

Volveríamos a hospedarnos aquí sin duda
Pros:

El desayuno estuvo Bien, aunque agregaría al menu, una pequeña seleccion de jamones y quesos y un Poco de fruta fresca.

La locacion esta MUY Bien!

Cons:

Nuestra estadía fue de dos dias, esperaba limpieza de la habitacion de la primera noche, fue frustrante llegar de un dia de turismo y playa y encontrar nuestra habitacion sin limpiar.

La piscina exterior realmente estaba MUY sucia.

Experience at Hyatt Select Galveston, TX
Pros:

This hotel has a great location, on the beachfront. It has Kroger nearby and close to shopping area with Marshalls, Ross, and Burlington. There are also plenty of restaurants and fast foods such as McDonalds. There is plenty of space for parking. Our room was spacious. The general manager is a friendly lady keeping everything running smoothly. An Asian girl is effective attending both breakfast and house keeping. The breakfast is just okay as can be expected by the price of the rooms. The only negative experience we had was checking in with a tall lady with glasses at the front desk. She was cold and unwelcoming, as if she was unhappy working there. Other staff were friendly and professional.

The front desk lady was very sweet and accommodating
My granddaughter is scared to death of elevators and asked her if we could be on the 1st floor and she made that happen that was very sweet and appreciated ❤️

Cons:

Only one elevator so cleaning crew is using same elevator. Wait times were extremely long for the elevator room was nothing what I was promised and breakfast in the morning was nothing like was advertised. Very disappointed
