Pros:

I initially booked a five-night stay at the Radisson, primarily because of the excellent value it offered for our family of four, including our two children aged nine and four. We were returning home from a two-week holiday and decided to stop in Qatar along the way. After making the reservation through Booking.com, I was in contact with Alison from Guest Relations prior to our arrival. From the outset, Alison was incredibly warm, responsive and accommodating. She arranged a complimentary additional bed for our room and went out of her way to surprise my husband with a birthday cake during our stay. These thoughtful gestures immediately made us feel valued and looked after even before we arrived.

We reached the hotel at approximately 9:00 a.m. on the day of check-in. As we had arrived several hours before the official check-in time, we completely understood that our room might not yet be available. The receptionist explained that the rooms were still being prepared and kindly asked us to return around 90 minutes later. Unfortunately, when we were given access to our room, it had not been cleaned to the standard we would expect. There was some discussion between reception, housekeeping and the cleaning supervisor regarding the areas that still needed attention, and we left again for a few hours with the understanding that the room would be thoroughly prepared before we returned. Regrettably, some issues remained when we came back later that day. At that point, I contacted Alison, who immediately took ownership of the situation. Rather than offering excuses, she listened carefully, acted quickly and ensured the matter was resolved. From the following day, Dipesh was assigned to our room for the remainder of our stay, and the difference was remarkable. Dipesh delivered an exceptional level of housekeeping every single day. The room was immaculate, far exceeding our expectations, and his attention to detail was genuinely outstanding.

Cons:

Dipesh regularly created towel teddy bears for our children, and gave them both two actual teddy bears. What impressed us most was the pride he clearly took in his work and the genuine care he showed towards cleaning the room. His consistency and professionalism played a significant role in turning our stay into such an enjoyable experience. We are extremely grateful both to Dipesh for his dedication and to Alison for ensuring the situation was handled so thoughtfully and effectively. Following this initial issue, we thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our stay. Aside from the weekend period, the hotel was wonderfully peaceful, and we often had much of the pool area to ourselves. The facilities were excellent, including a large swimming pool with dedicated adults-only sections, a children's water slide area and an adults-only Jacuzzi. There are two gyms on site, with the main gym offering a comprehensive range of equipment and a second 24-hour gym providing additional flexibility for guests. Other members of staff whose outstanding service deserves special recognition: (1) De Silva (Concierge): While waiting for our room on arrival, De Silva approached us and immediately made us feel welcome. He took the time to explain the hotel's facilities, services and layout in a way that was both informative and genuinely helpful. What really stood out, however, was the consistency of his kindness. Every day without fail, he greeted us with a warm smile and a friendly welcome. He has a natural ability to make guests feel recognised and valued, transforming what could have been a standard hotel experience into something much more personal and memorable.Danushan, Viktor and Ayesu (Breakfast Team): Were outstanding throughout our stay. They were attentive, proactive and always eager to help. A particularly thoughtful gesture was their willingness to arrange milk for our daughter each day, to go the extra mile. Thanks to everyone who contributed to making our stay so great!

Overall, it was a pleasant stay, although improvements in reception accessibility and staff friendly
Pros:

The hotel is conveniently located and offers ample parking. I would especially like to recognize Cris from Customer Service, who attended to my needs promptly after check-in. I also appreciated the reception team upgrading me to a larger room in the East Wing, which made my stay more comfortable.

Cons:

The East Wing does not have a reception desk for check-in and check-out. Guests must use the West Wing reception, which is often very busy. I experienced an unacceptable delay while waiting in the queue to check out, particularly when time was limited.

Additionally, walking from the East Wing to the West Wing is inconvenient, especially during the hot summer months. It would greatly improve the guest experience if check-in and check-out facilities were available in the East Wing.

Finally, the service would feel more welcoming if the staff, particularly in the breakfast restaurant, were friendlier and greeted guests with a smile.
