Our second time at the Mantra on View, great location and very good hotel although the room wasn't as clean as ine would hope
Lift are booth ways open
You get what you pay for
Bit of construction going on but not too noisy
Overall a good property with excellent location and view's.
Good buffet breakfast but the hotel itself is very old and not well kept. Dirty stained carpets and walls amd just feels empty in the lobby area.
All though staff are reasonably friendly there is definitely a lack of what I would call 'service' here.
Would recommend as a good place to stay just dont have high expectations.
Room requires an upgrade.
The frosted window in the shower does not provide sufficient privacy — visibility through the glass is still possible. As a result, the shower light had to remain off during use.
The driveway was chaotic with cars blocking access, and I had to wait over 25 minutes just to check in and unload. The entire south side of the hotel overlooks a nightclub, which wasn’t disclosed on Wotif, making it very noisy at night. The car park has no direct lift access and involves multiple stairs, so unload luggage at check-in. Rooms were okay but carpets definitely need a deep clean.
Great place to stay no driving the hole weekend, could walk and catch the tram anywhere, place was were clean.
The jacuzzi was closed
Clean room, ocean view
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Easy check in, room was ready early and we were able to check in early. Buffet breaky option available and reasonably priced. We loved sitting out on the deck while we had breakfast. Lifts are fast and efficient, no long waits.
Our room on level 5 had construction work blocking our view, but overall still enjoyed our stay.
Needs updating
There is NO pool or spas. Even though I got a an email through Expedia from mantra that said there was no pool but was spas ..there is no working spas for at least a year. the property is ok but booked for the sl year!!!
We were very happy with our stay at Mantra on View. The location was great, central to everything, trams, food, laundromat, shopping and the beach.
The hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to stay! Would probably stay again.
Great location near beach and shops. The staff are friendly the only issue no pool or spa
No communication prior that all facilities at the venue were under maintenance. Even received an email 1 day before saying thsy they were doing some updares but 3 pools were usable which was a lie.
All good
convenient location
Shower and toilet area were a poor standard ,dirty unkept
Shower head leaked everywhere
The shower soap and body wash were empty
Only 2 towels for 2 adults
Will not recommend this hotel
Probably what i paid for cheap and nasty
It was in easy walking distance to our venues. Didn’t like the fact you had to pay extra for parking $20 per day, but our car wouldn’t fit under so we had to go to the public car park across the road which was $8.70 from 7am to 7pm. Had to get up before 7am to pay more for next day’s parking, or risk a fine. There appeared to be only one trolley to take all your luggage up to your room or make multiple trips.
I would stay again if I had something in Surfers Paradise to attend, the light rail was across the street. Small handy market on the corner & a bottle shop just around the corner.
The buffet breakfast was good value
