It meant a lot because I got to spend time with my son for his 21st.
Pros:

the room had an old highway motoel smell when you first walked - big blawck long hairs in the drawers.

Cons:

jte foyer and common areas were not very clean - pwople just leve their rubbish in the planter boxes or on hte desk, was a hungry jacks delivery bag sitting there feom the night before and a coffee cup in the elevator. It pays to do reaserch on room prices I paid $575 for twin for 2 nights plus $25 a day parking my parents booked a doubled bed for 2 nights at $300 free parking and a bottle of wine on arrival AND breakfast included !

Pros:

Location , great staff.

Cons:

Dirty room. Sheets not changed. Stagnant water left in basin. Cups , utensil’s not washed clean. Broken curtain rod.

Great location and view, reasonably priced, clean and tidy, plenty of towels and toiletries. Property owner was friendly and helpful.Tram stops nearby. Easy check in and checkout.
I know a lot of reviews have complained about the room being outdated but honestly, it wasn't much different to the room our friends booked through Mantra, there were some nice little touches within the room. Overall, it is what you would expect for the price and we would stay again.

Cons:

Not really any negatives however, this is a private rental and there was no mention of this on the listing, we thought we had booked with Mantra. Wasn't an issue however, perhaps should be clear on the listing as Mantra are unable to assist with anything during your stay.
There was no wifi at the time however, the owner/host did offer compensation. We didn't really spend much time in the room as we had a lot planned.
Parking is an additional expense and is quite costly however, this is out of the property owners control - we just found another paid parking area that was cheaper and left the car here for the weekend and utilised the tram.
