Staff were lovely, proactive and professional. Thanks to events team for a great job.
This is a beautiful property that has been allowed to become shabby, grubby, uninvested it and is shameful. Whoever the leadership team are who take the money without investing in the infrastructure and potential should be ashamed. It claims to be a 4-star - nowhere close. This is an example of neglect, and lack of investment.
Room was lovely. Big, comfortable and clean.
Food in the restaurant was ok but not great.
Location was very nice
Food wasn't good. Service was abit low.
The setting of the hotel is brilliant and local to family hence we book here. Bed was comfy.
The interior is tired and I upgraded our room but shouldn't have bothered. No coffee machine in the room but upgraded said there was. We had to run the water in the sink for ages to get some hot water. Very limited on tea/coffee.
Last year we stayed and really enjoyed the breakfast buffet but with the main breakfast cooked to order so disappointed that hot foot was self service.
Room was spacious and clean, bed was very comfortable, friendly and helpful staff and excellent breakfast.
Perfect for us
Characterful building with nice ground. Comfortable bed, we had a good night’s sleep. All the staff we met were welcoming & friendly. Good choice at breakfast & we were able to eat in the bar area as we had our dog with us.
Loved the greeting , the room was spotless and quiet
Nothing
nothing
The bed and the. Food
It was all fantastic
Very comfy beds and a nice warm, quiet room. Free parking is always a bonus.
Absolutely beautiful place to stay we only stayed for one, for my partners birthday we was given a welcome drink,
The staff are so nice and welcoming,
The view is breathtaking
We also had dinner and breakfast and would definitely recommend eating while anyone is staying
We liked everything
Nice clean room, comfy bed, facilities ok. Bathroom adequate
Heating full bore, was boiling, too hot to sleep. Hot water took ages to come through to shower
Good location for town centre
10 min walk to the car, expensive parking
Beautiful premises in beautiful surroundings with an exceptional room, breakfast, dinner and staff
All was excellent but only accessible by car which we found out the hard way
Great hotel
