Wasn’t clean… spider webs all around the breakfast area, skirting boards full of dust, upholstery stained. Had a small roach running on the bed which I made a video off. Didn’t complain to the front desk.
Lovely location and building
Dated rooms, bathroom grubby, no air con, musty smell
Room was excellent only problem was the door in the corridor was next to our room and it was not fitted correctly and hence it banged when it was closed. It needs adjusting. Breakfast was excellent.
Pillows were not good.
Lovely location & surroundings.
Unfortunately my room smelled stale/smokey & the television only had 2 channels, the rest were blurred/no signal. Nothing could be done with the television.
Very calm and out the way of everything. So a relaxing stay to say the least.
Can’t think of anything that made it bad.
Bed was excellent
Needs updating very old fashioned wall paper hanging off out of date bathroom only good thing was a large comfortable bed
Nice location
Very dated no air conditioning old windows in a poor state of repair
Great selection for breakfast. Stunning location
No hand rails to main entrance
Helpful and friendly staff , location very peaceful surroundings. Very dog friendly.
Could do with updating and lick of paint, we booked a privilege room and they were all on top floor. Requested ground or 1st floor prior to arrival by email , then found out we were on top floor not an option asked to be changed , but this was a cheaper room but no rebate as yet.
Nice hotel, nice setting, Staff very professional and friendly
The hotel needs updating looking a bit tired
Lovely looking building and room was nicely laid out, and were accomdating to allowing for a room downstairs
It'd be great if there could be AC added given the kind of heat we're now experiencing. The fan didn't do a lot
Breakfast on day one was good, on day two it was only passable due to increased numbers of customers there was poor selection of food available.
Room was extremely hot. Fan was next to useless in the room.
We got married at the Grange Hotel last year and were given a complimentary 1 year anniversary meal at the hotels restaurant, The Brasserie. We were welcomed straight away, even though we were early, our table was ready. Our table was very pretty, with a crisp white tablecloth covered with rose petals. The food was amazing, we had the bbq belly of pork bites, I had the hunters chicken, my husband had the gammon & we both had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. We could not find a single fault with the food, it came out quickly and was piping hot, which is something I particularly like. It was all delicious and would happily come here again, not just for the memories of our wedding day but the food was amazing. We have to give a special mention to the two girls that were serving our food, Daisy and her coworker ( i think Erin, our meal was on Sat 15th Aug) they were lovely, welcoming and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble, they were great and definitely an asset to the restaurant!
Great location, building and grounds lovely ☺️
Our room wasn’t very clean, we upgraded for £25 and wished we hadn’t. The toilet was dirty, dark rim around the bath and just generally grubby around the edges. A lighter left in there (we don’t smoke so not ours) wasn’t worth an extra £25 for an upgrade.
Breakfast was good but not amazing. The staff are great. The hotel is nice but definitely needs a bit of tlc and refurbishing
The decor!
