Very comfortable for a short stay. Parking right next door that they can arrange for you.
Pros:

Location and cleanliness.

Cons:

It would be much better if the rooms had a microwave.

It was good, adequate for what I needed. Was good value.
Pros:

Bathroom was tidy

Cons:

Floor had a big stain on it, room seemed a bit tired ... needs an upgrade
Kept smelling quite strong smoke - not sure if someone was smoking on the floor but was very strong.

Underwhelming budget hotel for a three-star price.
Pros:

Good location in the central city.

Cons:

This hotel is tired and below standard. The room was stuffy and there was no air conditioning. There was no waste paper basket in the room. I had to move the one from the bathroom. The bed was so close to the wardrobe it was hard to open the door. The breakfasts were very ordinary. The lobby area was shabby.

Excellent hotel, great value, would book again.
Pros:

The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. We liked that there was a fridge and coffee maker. The staff was super friendly and really helpful. The location is excellent.

Cons:

Parking can be tricky but we lucked into a spot on the street nearby because we arrived around midnight on a Sunday.

Disappointing.
Cons:

The light switch was a health and safety hazard - it wouldn’t turn on properly, and it sparked a couple of times. The cleaning staff barged into my room before 9am without knocking on Wednesday morning. The bathroom also smelled quite gassy initially. It wasn’t my best experience of the Mercure.
