The Yellow Bird property was amazing — perfect location, I felt completely safe, and the nightlife was close enough to walk to without any hassle. It made the whole stay easy and enjoyable.

The staff was so friendly! Some are now new friends! The location is great and the hotel was clean. The rooms are also clean and nice!

You can’t fault this hotel it’s lovely. The views are amazing and something I will remember forever. The staff are all great and so friendly . Tip I’d ask for a room on level 2 or 3 so that you can watch the views . Although at night we could hear noise from nearby bars it didn’t affect our sleep. Rooms are immaculate.

I must say I already reviewed this place but I was reading someone else’s review and saying they don’t take US dollars they do take US dollars theydo take tips they do take credit cards. They do take barbados money which is really the most important part because I feel like as an islander it would be hard for them to go to the bank to cash it if it’s a US dollar it’s better to get for barbados money or use your credit card but this place is amazing for someone to say they don’t take it. They really do take it. This place is outstanding.

Wonderful central location to get to restaurants, bars, and beaches in the more active part of the island. The entire staff at the Yellow Bird Hotel was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The restaurant is reasonably priced and offers a great breakfast and lunch. The pool is beautiful. Our room was clean and spacious offering full refrigerator, microwave, sink, dishes and utensils. The Yellow Bird is quite a value for the accommodations provided. We stayed on the 3rd floor directly above the restaurant and bar and had no noise issues what so ever. Will definitely stay here again. The Yellow Bird Front Desk Staff deserves a shout out (Mario afternoons & evenings and a wonderful woman who works in the mornings). They act like a personal concierge if you ask them. They will book transportation, give information on buses, beaches, restaurants, and any requests you have. Highly recommended!

We’ve just come back from a stay at Yellowbird Hotel and, honestly, it exceeded our expectations in every way.

What really made the experience stand out was the people. The bartenders were brilliant — friendly, attentive, and always happy to chat or recommend something new. The reception team were equally fantastic: welcoming, efficient, and incredibly helpful whenever we needed anything. Whether it was arranging excursions or giving local tips, nothing was ever too much trouble. The housekeeping team also deserves a special mention — the rooms were spotless every day, with fresh towels and everything kept to a really high standard.

The facilities themselves were excellent. Having a kitchenette made a big difference for flexibility, the air conditioning worked perfectly (a must in the heat), and the room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained throughout our stay. Everything felt well thought-out and cared for.

The view was another highlight — waking up to that outlook every day never got old. And the location is hard to beat. Being right on St. Lawrence Gap means you’re in the heart of everything: restaurants, bars, and a lively atmosphere just steps away.

In terms of value, we were genuinely impressed. For what you get — the service, the facilities, the location — it felt like exceptional value for money.

The only thing worth noting (and this is more of an observation than a negative) is that the hotel is right on the Gap, which is one of the most vibrant and lively areas. If you’re particularly sensitive to noise, it’s something to be aware of. That said, it’s exactly what you’d expect from such a prime location, and for us, it added to the overall experience rather than detracted from it.

Overall, we’ve been incredibly happy with our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended.

Spacious rooms with lovely terrace. Fabulous sunset view. Good drinks and food. People were helpful and gave good advice. Short walk to 2 lovely beaches.

It is a true botique hotel even though that isn't in the adverts. A great sea view over the pool with a kitchenette and a very fairly priced dining area checks off all the boxes for me. One caveate is their is no elevator so if stairs aren't your friend ask for a ground floor room. We had a top floor and a helpful guy carried our luggage. There is a mini-mart nearby if you want to take advantage of the fridge and stove. Coffe maker in the room was great.

A perfect location opposite a small bay with wonderful sea views and well equipped rooms kept exceptionally clean. What makes this hotel really special though is the staff in all roles who genuinely enjoy interacting with people to make it a pleasant stay. The hotel is so friendly and welcoming and they encourage all the guests to interact with each other too especially at the weekly rum party making for a wonderful atmosphere. It is why we keep returning year on year and long may it continue.
