Stayed for 2 nights, hotel is in the heart of the historic district. We pulled in and the parking lot was very full, pulled over to check in. Check in was fairly simple, even though it is an open parking lot, thye charge for parking. She asked if we wanted 1st or 2nd floor room, we opted for 1st floor room so our car and belongings would be easy to access, gave us room 101 and said it was behind the lobby area. We went to our room to find a set of stairs that curve to the room once opening the door, not on the first floor. We decided to just go with it as the car was close. The room was above the lobby area and newly re done and very large, bathroom was very nice as well. A few things to note, upon check in we were given a note about the noise level in the area and they offer earplugs, a little concerning. We did not have any issues with loud music but since our room faced the busy street, we could hear traffic noise and even people talking while walking on the sidewalk outside. The windows in the room were original to the building and one window didn't even close all the way so all the noise was going into the room, they remodeled the room nicely but didn't replace the windows. The very small refrigerator in the room could be replaced with a larger one, and the antiquated cable TV has a very grainy picture. It was handy to park the car and leave it as parking is very difficult in this area. No breakfast on the property itself but they gave a coupon for a café next door, which has delicious food, especially the biscuits.

No MS NOW. Office staff were not accommodating. Window view obstructed by stairway. Charged too much for my pet. Very noisy at night.
Location. The Xmas lights.
Little noisy after hours but not a huge concern.
I would not recommend this particular motel unless it’s the only one with rooms still available. The check in process was a bit confusing, we got there 20 minutes early and the white lady at the front desk would not tell us what room number we had and said the room was not available. She came off a bit rude idk if it was intentional. A younger black guy directed us to spot to park and told us our room number which why would he know what room we are staying in and not us? My friend went back to the front desk and the lady asked if we had a dog, which we did have an 8 pound yorkie, very small dog. The Western website states this location is pet friendly with an extra charge which is fine however this location has a bizarre rule that if the animal is found in the room alone it will be a $45 fine per occurrence. So basically if we wanted to go use the pool on site and pets aren’t allowed at the pool we would have to accept this strange $45 fee. The room itself was clean, however I did feel some things could have been better because the price at this motel is very expensive for what’s offered. It’s in a very good location very close to most attractions, restaurants, and trolly tours all walking distance in under a mile. The bay is right across the street. However the luxury of location is all this motel offers. The pool isn’t heated, the outdoor shower was broken. No laundry that I saw on site. One vending machine that only accepts cash, and it only has soda/water. There is no water unless you buy it for $2 a bottle from the front desk. There is a mini fridge and microwave shoved into the furniture under the tv, not ideal placement and the fridge is so small I couldn’t really fit most of my leftovers in it well. I stayed in a twin queen room which most people with friends or family would stay in. However the bathroom door is on a rolling system and doesn’t lock and leaves gaps all around the door, so basically be very comfortable going to the bathroom with whoever you have to share the room with. Also the door to the room was crooked and let in air and light like it wasn’t closing properly. The parking is also very cramped and it’s $20 per occurrence of parking, so every night it’s $20 and then if you leave and come back multiple times a day it’s $20 every time. The younger guy who helps you park is also looking into peoples cars as you park and snitching to the front desk lady if anyone has pets or I guess whatever else they don’t want at the motel. I won’t be going back, extra money for more convenience is worth it in this case .
Location
Tight, limited parking
Incredible location.
Bathroom door is barn style slider. Not much privacy.
We liked only location.
The front desk lady (her name was Sherry i guess) was rude. When I was booking it said the room with a bay view, but it’s not actually bay view, you have to go outside to see the view. Can’t see from your room’s tiny ass the only one window! Feels like staying in the prison cell. The room was expensive but for what?doesn’t worth it, only maybe location worth it. Super loud at night, feels like u r staying in a students’ dormitory.
Location
Nothing
The locations was excellent. It was a quick walk to the fort and it was right in the middle of the Night of Lights locations.
Breakfast is included. It was a bag with water, a muffin, and a breakfast bar.
I asked if I could leave my car parked there after check-out. I figured if the next group didn't check-in until 3:00, why couldn't I leave my car there until 2:00? I asked and they said they'd need the spaces. We walked by the hotel after checkout around 12:00 and again at 2:00. Both times their lot was almost empty. It wouldn't have hurt them to let us stay parked. It cost us $20 and the hassle to move our car to the St. Augustine lot.
