The location was great and the 24 hour reception as well

Cons:

The mattress was very uncomfortable and I could feel the metal wires from the bed. Also the hotel is under renovation and it’s a whole construction site inside. The lift was not working on our last day and we had to carry all of our luggage down to the reception by stairs.
The room was okay but the shower head did not have enough water pressure to shower

Great stay honest review
Pros:

The staff were very welcoming. The room and attic one was compact but very clean, had everything we needed and warm. No noise from the street below. The area is beautiful great location for Hyde park Notting hill etc

Cons:

The breakfast was very expensive at £22 so we had to go out on empty stomachs. The coffee was not replenished for morning 2 but that said these are small and would not stop me staying there again

Es liegt sehr zentral.

Cons:

Es findet ein Hotelumbau statt und trotzdem gibt es vorher kein Hinweis darauf. Also Gerüst vorm Haus, Handwerker-Krach am frühen Morgen. Auch im Hotel gab es diverse Einschränkungen und Baustellen.
Zudem ist es sehr hellhörig. Am Handwaschbecken gab es nur kaltes Wasser (trotz Hinweis auf heißes Wasser). Die Dusche ist sehr gewohnheitsbedürftig, am ersten Tag haben wir die Showerdusche nicht anbekommen. Das Bad sieht auch so sehr mitgenommen aus, das Zimmer aber genauso.

Wer keine großen Erwartung hat, kann in London nicht enttäuscht werden

Das Hotel lag für unsere Zwecke strategisch günstig. Alles in allem ganz ordentlich, wenn man nur etwas zum Schlafen braucht. Das Hotel selbst ist unspektakulärer *** Standard (egal, was da gerade für Sterne gelten) ohne großen extra Komfort, im Zimmer in denen die Einrichtung aber auch die sanitäranlage im Badezimmer in Würde gealtert ist. Also dementsprechend mit toleranten Abstrichen gesehen, ganz gut ausgestattet ist. Dafür aber ungeniert Londoner Preisfindung.

Cons:

Das die Zimmer gerade günstig waren, kann wohl auch daran gelegen haben, dass das halbe Hotel gerade eine Baustelle ist. Der Automatenkaffee in der Hotel Lobby soll trotzdem drei Pfund kosten. Da verzichtet man gern. Die Renovierung hat das Haus dringend nötig. Mal schauen, wie sie das preisniveau nach der Renovierung entwickelt. Fairerweise dürfen sich die Preise aber nicht erhöhen, weil man durch die Renovierung erst die in die Jahre gekommenen Schäden und Mängel lediglich zeitgemäß bewirken und das Hotel wieder instand gesetzt hätte. Aber, es ist London. Und dort ist der Tourist lediglich eine ungehemmt zu melkende Kuh...
