Large old-style resort seen better days Cold room and bed lacked heavy bedspread
Pros:

Staff were lovely and welcoming. Otherwise clean and tidy. Bonus was the large bedroom and huge bed with electric blanket but wall heater couldn’t warm the room. Temp overnight was -5 dgrees outside.

Cons:

Staff still busy turning the rooms after 4pm. We apparently cut short room check as old soap was still in bathroom. Heater did not warm room. Room was so cold. Single glazed windows were ajar to get rid of condensation covering the inside. Mould in shower tiles. No heater in bathroom in -5 degree outside temp but it was cgeapest Qtn accom. Thsnk goodness we had brought our own hotwater bottles but bed still freezing with electric blanket on 1 and a blanket and three coats.

Pros:

Well situated if you plan to ski at Coronet Peak.

Cons:

There was a shower over the bath. I could see dirty rings around the bath and the base of the bath was dirty. A bottle of Jif and some elbow grease wouldn't go astray.

We enjoyed our stay and it was good value for money for what we needed.
Pros:

We only stayed one night as a special treat for our daughter to do some activities in Queenstown. We have stayed before and she liked the bowling rink and entertainment available. The staff particularly were wonderful and made the stay memorable by giving our daughter a special treat of a we desert for her birthday brought to our room.

Cons:

It had everything we needed for our short stay. If staying longer having some more things available like a microwave and utensils would be helpful.

Satisfied with the room and location.
Pros:

The location was lovely. Large comfy room. Everything was very clean.

Cons:

Our room was at the end of a very long corridor. The only door at that end was an emergency exit, which we could not use. I would recommend that the hotel get a luggage rack, so we didn’t have to make multiple long trips to bring our luggage into the room.

Pros:

The location was good for us. The cooked breakfast was good and they kept replenishing the trays so it was nice and hot and freshly cooked.

Cons:

It is an older building and showing its age. When I entered the room, there was a bit of a musty smell, so opened a window for a bit. You can see the dampness has got in to the wooden window frame.
Some of the tiles around the bath shower were broken and there appeared to be mold or something black in some of the grout. Water pressure from the shower was pitiful-very low pressure. For Queenstown standard it was below average for the price.
