From the stunning entrance, the beautiful gardens, the captivating dinning room and the sheer charm of the staff you instinctively know that Lanzerac is a true gem. It fully deserves all the accolades it gets.

We travelled with our 3 young children and had a truly wonderful experience at Lanzerac. From staff going out of their way to help with the kiddies, lovely outdoor dining and wonderful wine. The facilities were clean, well taken care of and even though we were there for business we were able to unwind and enjoy our free time with our family. You will not be disappointed to visit this lovely establishment.

We had a wonderful 7 nights here. Great room, service and food. We would absolutely recommend a visit here. The room was especially nic 1st class staff on reception who helped organise a number of trips for us.

Our room was superb with every home comfort you could wish for. The bathroom was awesome with a large shower and huge tub bath. Great for relaxing in after a hard day wine tasting! We also loved the pool we shared either 2 other rooms
There was also a mini bar included that they refilled each day
Food is superb. We enjoyed the 6 course tasting menu one evening with wine flight and that was devine. Food in the more relaxed pub style restaurant was also very good as was breakfast which had an enormous buffet and then hot food to order
A free wine tasting and cellar tour was also included in the room price
A definite must do in Stellanbosch and we will be back! Thank you!

During the reservation process, I was shown photos of a specific upgraded room and completed my booking after receiving the room number for that upgrade.
However, upon arrival at the hotel, I was assigned a different room instead of the one shown in the photos and confirmed during booking.

As a result, I clearly stated that I would not accept or pay for the upgrade. The hotel management subsequently withdrew the upgrade charge; however, I did not stay in the room I originally selected, and unfortunately, my stay began with dissatisfaction due to this experience.

Positive Aspects
• Location: The hotel’s location is truly its strongest asset. It is beautiful, calm, and very special.
• Peaceful atmosphere: The overall environment is quiet and relaxing.
• Pool area: Pleasant to use, though somewhat limited in size.

This Hotel and Spa is pure heaven. We are treated like Royalty. We have been coming back year after year because this Hotel and Spa are bliss.

The staff all know us by name and are always smiling, always ready to assist and help us enjoy what is a 7 Star Hotel.

Tiaan, the Operations Manager, ensures that everyone and everything goes like clockwork.

He has a fantastic staff including the deputy manager, Nathan, the wonderful Gwen, in charge of housekeeping for whom nothing is too much trouble, and Mona, who has been at Lanzerac for many years and always greets us with such a lovely smile; the lovely waiters and waitresses, including the fabulous Bongi who always comes to our table and is so pleased to see us; the fabulous Lynette who remembers everything we like to eat and drink and is the sweetest, most charming and most efficient waitress; the lovely others including Romeo, Henrico; Mihlali; Aaron; Elijah; Kuphela and Oli.

We love our room, 202, with its private terrace which shares a private pool and loungers with just two other rooms.

The Deli and tasting rooms are superb.

The chefs need special praise. They will make anything we ask off the menu and everything they make is delicious and beautifully presented.

The grounds are beautiful and beautifully maintained.

This is why we return year after year. Thank you to Tiaan and his staff for making our holiday in February every year so enjoyable."

Beautiful property with amazing rooms and facilities. An extremely special place

Wonderful stay, it's very beautiful.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. This was our second time back at the Lanzarac and I hope to come back again. The grounds are stunning and the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with large bathrooms. The hotel is a short drive from lots of beautiful vineyards and about 25 minutes from Franschhoek and tends to be much better value than some of the estates there. The food is incredible and the service is outstanding. There are plenty of little touches like sparkling wine on arrival, free mini bar, complimentary shuttle and amazing breakfast included that make you feel spoiled. The gym is well equipped and the pool area lovely. Highly recommend!
