Amazing buffet breakfast - the best!
Very comfortable - 2 double beds in a twin share.
Lovely sea view from the room.

Pros:

Good breakfast selection. Room was big and we selected the sea facing one. Close to restaurants and pubs along the waterfront. Centrepoint mall is nearby within walking distance

Cons:

Hotel street access and surroundings extremely run down. Not a pleasant way to get in and out whether by foot or by car. Wet market right across road with strong odour

Pros:

This hotel was amazing, my wife and I really enjoyed it.
Rocky, the concierge couldn't do enough to keep us happy.

My short stay in Le Meridien was quite enjoyable nevertheless and the staff were very helpful
Pros:

The breakfast spread was excellent. The staff was friendly and did their jobs very well. However, there are 3 matters I wish to highlight:
1. The security box was not working so I called for it to be rectified, A technician came, inspected it and thought the batteries were faulty and so were replaced. The safe box worked but after a short period the safe faulted again. The matter was again reported and 2 technicians came to have a look. After inspection, they reported that the box had been replaced with a different box and the replacent was working well. However, after a short while the box was faulty again. This required me to report the fault for the third time. A technician came and located and rectirfied the fault.

2. The shower floor of Room 1306 has a level which cannot drain the water after a shower. The floor is always flooded after a shower, making it slippery and dangerous. Although the chambermaid always wiped the foor during room cleanini, i suspect the faulty floor level was never reported.

3. There was a time when I dialled "0" for service and the telephone was not answered. I telephoned 3 times before someone responded. This experiebce was annoying and disasterous in emergency situations.
