Charming but needs maintenance
Pros:

It's a charming hotel with early 1900s-style decor and feel. The location, North Beach, is great! The restaurant downstairs is expensive, dressy, and good. I'd stay here again, but see my "didn't likes."

Cons:

It feels neglected even on simple things: a broken window shade pull, sink faucets that are loose, towel rod brackets with a missing rod. The bathroom nearest to my room was out of order. An extension cord was stapled to the baseboard which is a safety/fire issue and likely a code violation. Apparently the property is being renovated which I didn't know before I got there. Noise wasn't an issue when I was trying to sleep, but they did start quite early. In spite of all this, I'd stay there again because of the charm, nice staff, and location.

La limpieza.

Cons:

Habitación minúscula.
Cama pegada a la pared, mal acceso a la misma.
No te hacen la.cama nunca.
Las habitaciones muy ruidosas entre ellas.
Había muchas hormigas y a pesar que echaron insecticida, seguían apareciendo.
Estaba en Reformas.
El WIFI en las habitaciones finales que es donde estábamos se interrumpía a menudo,no dejaba ni ver películas o consultar las redes sin que se quedase colgado
Vamos me parecido que se paga una barbaridad para el servicio que ofrecen.
Nada recomendable.
Lo mejor, la ubicacion.

Dobra lokalizacja i cena.

Cons:

Pokój malutki, bez lodówki i ekspresu. Ekspres do kawy był w lobby. Mieliśmy pokój z łazienką dla większej wygody, a i tak było mało wygodnie.

comfortable bed in small room in historic hotel; decent shower and WC shoe-horned into already compact room; excellent coffee available from machine on landing; first-class & equally historic Italian restaurant below. Location hard to beat for Fisherman's Wharf and Alcatraz ferry.

Cons:

Room is one of several in this historic building recently remodelled to incorporate en-suite WC/shower. Result is a shortage of space to put anything - a couple of corner shelves and alcove hooks would allow for toiletries, towels, spectacles, small personal items to be more conveniently managed.
