I liked the location and the fact that it was a modern property. The pool area could do with a little improvement. It’s a little stark and impersonal.

Cons:

Housekeeping was lacking. I found a note on my door at 9 am telling me because my do not disturb sign was on I could call for extra towels when I was ready. I went to reception at 0915 and said I was now out of the room and could they please service the room. I got some pushback as ‘they had already been there.’ that is not the point and it is not good enough. When people are in vacation spots they are on holiday and might like to sleep late. I should have the option of housekeeping after 9 am without complaint. Also, they clearly did not vacuum the room once in the three days I was there. I had spilt some instant coffee granules on the carpet on my first afternoon and they were still there the morning that I left, indicating that the room had not been vacuumed once in three days. Also, my bedding was just pulled up and remade. It was not changed. I understand they don’t do it every day in hotels these days, but there was no card giving me the option of requesting fresh sheets or telling me what my options were during the stay.

Also on my second morning we were evacuated at 0540 due to a general fire alarm. These things happen. It would have been nice if, later in the day, a note have been put under guest doors apologising for any inconvenience. It’s just little touches like that that make a property more memorable and make people want to return.

Beautiful location
Pros:

Location was very central to town and close to everything. Very modern and comfortable.
Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Cons:

False alarm at 6am and having to evacuate the building half asleep. Better safe than sorry though!

Great location with passable facilities
Pros:

Great location with several food choices within walking distance. Great view across the river. The bed was comfortable. Staff were pleasant.

Cons:

Tired and worn-out interior, some furniture with damage. Woken at 6am and had to evacuate due to a false alarm. Locals said that's not the first one. Perhaps some maintenance required throughout the building.
