Best choice and location in Ballina
Pros:

Beautiful river views. We booked a upgrade room to have full front river views. Definitely worth it. The restaurant is great. Superb food and service. If your a walker, the ocean walk from here is beautiful

Staff were dismissive, and $330 for a sleepless night.
Pros:

The location was fine, and the room was clean.

Cons:

Out of all the rooms they could have put us they put us in the room right beside the dumpsters. So, at 4am the first dumpster truck arrived and they kept coming every 30 mins to 6am.
It was the middle of winter so the hotel was nowhere near full.

5 star apartment
Pros:

Perfect room overlooking the river, but we had to pay extra for the view.

Cons:

We ate at the restaurant and there was a conference or something so half of the restaurant was closed off. We had to move from the lounge area by 5pm so couldn't finish our pre dinner drinks. The group were very noisy and was difficult to talk at our table during our meal. Had we been advised we would have eaten elsewhere.

Besides the bed, was very enjoyable
Pros:

Right in the river. Beautiful view. Staff amazing. The manager Ben went over and beyond

Cons:

The beds are very uncomfortable. Was told new mattresses only a couple of months ago. Mattress hard. Pillows not much better.
