Cork’s Vienna Woods Hotel and Villas

Great location. Staff were lovely, food was lovely. The Hotel was clean and inviting. Great value for money on our overnight stay for BB & evening meal.

Vienna woods is a stunning hotel, the views are amazing the staff are absolutely wonderful so accommodating and professional. We had our wedding here January 2025 and it was just the most amazing day thanks to the hotel and the staff were couldn't have asked for anything better and we just went back for 2 nights for our anniversary. They had congratulations balloons in the room and cookies. The food is incredible. 5 stars ⭐... I would highly recommend it to people. I still have people that comment on my wedding last year every time I meet them and people still raving about the food.

Facility is poorly maintained, disappointing service from bar & restaurant staff. Such issues can be resolved through a preventative maintenance routine and improved & regular staff training.

We’d like to say a big thank you to all the staff at the Vienna Woods Hotel for the excellent service and warm hospitality during our recent stay. Chandimal and the Vienna Woods team were incredibly supportive when we organised a family gathering and meal. The setting was very comfortable, and we felt very well looked after by everyone, looking forward to visiting again in the future!

Just had a lovely breakfast with our family at Vienna Woods, 14 of us around one table. Lovely decor for Christmas, lovely food with great variety, staff couldn't have been nicer, children were so welcome. Really recommend supporting this lovely hotel.

I attended a corporate Christmas function recently and decided to stay over in the hotel. I have been going to this hotel for functions and meals for almost 40 years and there has been a lot of investment and improvements in recent years particularly in the function room and adjoining room. My visit did not get off to a great start as there was no hot water available in my room apparently due to an issue with the boiler.
Our meal was ok - the starter and main course were good - served piping hot and was tasty but the desert was really disappointing and had the look and taste of a shop bought desert.
My other big issue was that my room was very cold when I retired for the night and there was no means to turn on or up the heat.

we got an upgrade to a beautiful room, staff so friendly, especially in restaurant, dinner and breakfast was amazing, location perfect for a quiet weekend away

We stayed in Vienna Woods Cork last weekend as part of a wedding Bridal party and experienced what could only be described as a top level event venue with the best of service and professionalism. From the logistical challenge of a table dash to the choreography of the table service, the day was so special for everyone especially the bride and groom. We had three dedicated servers in Elizabeth, Christine and Anne who were excellent. Their drive for perfection and friendliness between servings made it such an enjoyable experience. The food was of the highest quality and my personal dietary requirements were catered for throughout the day without hesitation. A truly enjoyable day delivered by a brilliant team. Owner Michael also gave his time to speak with the top table, a gentleman who was ready to cater for all our needs. The hotel itself was recently renovated and is something owner Michael can be proud of. Overall a wonderful experience.

We have been considering a stay for some time and it hadnt worked out but on this occassion we were thrilled to have been able to visit. The hotel was so warm and welcoming from the moment we came up the driveway. The Christmas decorations, the fire and the furnishings. The rooms were beautiful and the staff attentive. We could not have asked for more , only that we would have loved to have stayed longer. Thank you for a wonderful night away for my daughter and myself. It was a very special treat for us and one we hope to enjoy again soon.

Beautiful hotel, very tastefully decorated and classy. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic.

We had our wedding in Vienna woods on the 29th of November 2025. We never had to worry or think about one single thing, the staff at Vienna woods are exceptional and took care of us so well. The guests loved the venue, food and service. A special mention to Laura Daly their wedding planner, I have never met someone so dedicated to their role, she made everything so easy for us and we can’t thank her enough! We had a wonderful stay for my granddaughters wedding. Everything was perfect, the hotel looked amazing with all the Xmas trees and lights in the garden. Made for some wonderful photos. All the staff were very nice including the staff serving the wedding meal.
The beds were the most comfortable beds . Had a great night's sleep. I would definitely recommend Vienna woods for a wedding or an overnight stay . Plenty of choice for breakfast as well.

The Hotel is very good. Beautiful Christmas decorations outside and inside. Food was delicious. Staff very nice 👌 Nice and cosy.

We held our wedding reception in Vienna Woods earlier this month. It is a beautiful venue. The staff were very attentive and the food was excellent.
Our wedding co-ordinator Laura was very friendly and helpful from the beginning and was also present on the day of our wedding which was reassuring.

We loved our brief stay at the hotel and our only regret was having to leave early for a flight without enjoying breakfast.
Beautiful grounds and building, spacious modern rooms tastefully decorated. Very comfortable beds, a modern bathroom with nice toiletries , two nice chairs to relax and a coffee machine!
Definitely deserves 4 stars, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel.
20 minutes to the airport, close to Cork and not far from Cobh.

I can’t recommend Vienna Woods and its staff enough for a wedding. We got married on the August bank holiday in 2025 and were lucky to have our ceremony outdoors at the back of the venue. From start to finish, Laura, the wedding organiser, was absolutely outstanding. She was responsive, helpful, organised and driven to make sure everything went seamlessly. We felt lucky to have her managing our day. The venue was perfect, all the guests were complimenting the location, atmosphere, food, staff, and how smoothly everything ran. The team added thoughtful personal touches that made both us and our guests feel truly special. I genuinely felt Laura was my teammate on the day, handling everything so we could relax and enjoy it. The food was divine. We chose the featherblade and hake, and the double dessert was a major hit. Service was excellent, dietary needs were easily accommodated, and the decor was lovely. It did get a bit warm in the main room once the dancing started, but it was a warm evening anyway. Perhaps a bit of air conditioning or opening the doors or windows could have been an improvement. Overall, the day far exceeded my expectations. We had an incredible celebration and felt like total superstars. Guests were full of compliments, and compared to other venues, Vienna Woods was much better value for money and they included so many wonderful extra touches and features. It offers warmth, character, and a welcoming atmosphere you won’t find in some of the more high-end wedding hotels. You’re in great hands with Laura and her team, we couldn't fault it. I'm already looking forward to attending as a guest nexttime!

We arrived in Glanmire, Cork on Oct 18th for one night with a group of 31 people passing through on a planned tour through Ireland. This is a regular accommodation for people travelling with Exoticca with a guide and tour bus. This trip was booked well in advance. We arrived at the hotel at 4:20 pm. Our guide informed us that we would not be able to access the main restaurant for dinner until after 8:00 pm. He told us we could order food from the bar which sounded ok after a long day of touring. When we arrived there were 2 events going on. A 90th birthday party and a hospital foundation function. The lobby and bar area were completely packed with barely standing room available.

It turned out that the only food that was available to order from the bar was a pizza, charcuterie board or French fries. Our group was very tired from being up early and sight seeing all day. Most of us wouldn't have minded eating from the bar if they actually had a selection of food items to chose from. We were definitely made to feel less important than the other groups that were being catered to. If they are going to be accepting groups of people into their hotel while other functions are going on, they shouldn't expect us not to be able to order a decent meal considering there are no other restaurants in the area we could go to. There is nothing within walking distance of this hotel. We were all greatly annoyed, tired and hungry.

The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The room was fairly big. The bedding was high quality. There was no fridge in the room. It did have a kettle with tea/coffee. The breakfast area opened at 7:00 am. They scattered the timings to enter in small groups of people within 15 minute intervals. For such a big hotel the breakfast area is in a little tiny room. They have a cold buffet off to the right that can only hold about 5 or 6 people. They also do a cooked to order breakfast. They had little pots of tea/coffee on the tables already when we arrived that were already cold when we sat down and we were the first ones in at 7:00 am.

I would be giving this hotel a higher review if we could have had access to a decent meal after a long tiring day but that wasn't the case here. My suggestion would be for them to have a better selection of food items available from the bar if this is going to continue to happen. It is just not acceptable for them to expect people to have to wait until 8:00 pm before we could enter the restaurant.

The room was spacious &clean . and suitable to our needs. While there was a window there was no view of anything specific. King size bed, very comfortable.
There was a wedding taking place but we heard no noise or music.
Lovely friendly staff from reception throughout the hotel. Fabulous breakfast menu.
Highly recommend this hotel.

Every staff member I met was friendly and helpful. My room was lovely and clean and comfortable. I had a beautiful dinner on my first evening there followed by a gorgeous dessert.

From a work point of view all our needs were met also and the tea/coffee/scones for the break and also the lunch were fabulous.

Overall a really lovely experience
