Ottimo hotel 4 stelle situato nell'area di Lapad, sufficientemente distante dalla confusione del centro storico di Dubrovnik ma al tempo stesso facilmente raggiungibile in autobus oppure con taxi Bolt (costo da 10 a 15 euro). Bellissime le piscine con grandiosa vista panoramica sulla baia. Volendo per gli ospiti è possibile accedere anche alla bella spiaggia del vicino Valamar President Hotel (al prezzo scontato di 25 euro per un ombrellone e 2 lettini). Ottimo anche il servizio, con personale cortese e sempre disponibile. Il cibo, sia a colazione che a cena, è stato davvero di prima classe, con una grande scelta e sempre di ottima qualità. Un unico appunto riguarda la colazione: per le centinaia di ospiti presenti in hotel, era disponibile una sola postazione per il caffe/cappuccino/the con inevitabili code per servirsi. Oltretutto si trattava di una piccola macchina automatica, davvero deludente per un hotel di lusso a 4 stelle, in questo caso non in linea con gli standard europei.
L'hotel ospita anche grandi gruppi di comitive: fin qui niente di male, se non fosse che, nelle belle giornate di sole, nella zona delle piscine non ci sono lettini a sufficienza per tutti gli ospiti, con inevitabili disagi per gli stessi. Inoltre, nelle giornate in cui sono state ospitate le comitive, per la cena - molto prima dell'apertura del ristorante - si formavano lungo code degli ospiti, in attesa di prendere d'assalto il buffet serale. Una situazione che invece non si verificava nelle serate in non erano presenti le comitive in hotel.
Riguardo alla nostra camera vista mare, noi l'avevamo prenotata - e immediatamente pagata - con 6 mesi di anticipo. La vista mare non era male, peccato che fosse limitata perché per metà era ostruita da un muro perimetrale dell'hotel. Certamente l'hotel disponeva di camere con una vista mare migliori di quella assegnata a noi, parzialmente a vista muro di cemento. A questo punto non si comprende con quale criterio vengano assegnate le camere vista mare. Probabilmente un criterio casuale, senza tenere conto delle priorità di prenotazione. In definitiva non si capisce quale sia il vantaggio di prenotare - e pagare - con 6 mesi d'anticipo - quando magari, prenotando all'ultimo momento "last minute" - sia abbia la possibilità di ottenere una camera vista mare in una posizione migliore della nostra, molto probabilmente ad un prezzo inferiore di quanto abbiamo pagato noi.
Considerando l'esperienza avuta, sconsiglio di prenotare (e pagare) questo hotel in largo anticipo, perché sembra che non vi è alcun vantaggio concreto nell'assegnazione della vostra camera.
The waiting staff in the restaurant were very kind and helpful. The facilities were clean.
The hotel is marketed as having Spa facilities and as far as we could determine, this is limited to paid for massage options. Many spa hotels include other facilities such as thermal baths, solariums etc. I think it is misleading to suggest that this hotel can provide any authentic spa facilities. In addition, the layout of the hotel felt very commercial. It felt like being on an overnight ferry with rooms opening onto a central atrium with long corridors leading to different areas such as a the restaurant. We were not provided with any information about the hotel at check-in. The staff member who served us was not outright rude - however, the service was not particularly warm or friendly. Additionally, the car park for the hotel is offsite and this was only shared when I tried to provide my registration number having seen payment signs for parking outside. Fortunately, the driver of the golf cart which transported us was very warm, friendly and accommodating. In terms of the facilitates, the restaurant (buffet) was overpriced, bland and some of the food was under cooked. Also, the information on the hotel app indicated that dinner was for discreet clothing (ie. not revealing and men in trousers, not shorts). This was not enforced and some people were in swimwear and being served. The pool area was congested and there was not any information as to where to get beverages or if there was any poolside service. Additionally, the top infinity pool was advertised as adults only - however, there were children in this pool. We do not have a problem with people wearing swimwear or children in pools. However, if the hotel had made this a rule then it would be better if this rule was implemented. Otherwise, it just creates confusion and uncertainty for guests. In terms of our room, it was fine. However, it felt a bit like the room you would stay in overnight at an airport hotel. Further, the shower hose did not sit correctly in the holder and the hair dryer did not work.

Not well maintained.. although its a 4 stars premium hotel they dont provide the basics in the room like water.. they even charge you for using the sun loungers.. staff are a bit aggressive & always pushy
The breakfast at Valamar is fabulous. There were so many options for everyone. The staff were professional and very helpful. The pool area is very beautiful and laid out perfectly with sensational views of the Adriatic Sea.

Få restauranter med varierende menyer. Mest sjømat.
J’ai beaucoup apprécié le petit déjeuner varié et savoureux, les deux piscines avec une vue magnifique, les jardins et espaces communs.
L’accès est la plage privée de l’hôtel Président Club est un vrai plus.
Le personnel du petit déjeuner et des restaurants est tres serviable !
La chambre était très correcte également. La literie est confortable.
J’étais déçue par la froideur et le côté expéditif de certains membres du personnel à la réception et à la piscine.
Mais le gros point noir de notre séjour a été le non entretien de notre terrasse durant tout le séjour. Nous avons signalé à 3 reprises la présence de déchets (mouchoirs usagés au pied de la haie à l’intérieur de notre terrasse qui laissait indiquer un usage suspect) et demandé un nettoyage sans succès… C’est a se demander s’il fallait en venir au scandale pour être entendu. C’est dommage.

Calidad y vistas inmejorables. Lo recomiendo al 100%. Necesité comida blanda por indigestión y me la pusieron sin problema.

Wij hadden een kamer op de begane grond met terras vlakbij het zwembad. Personeel bij receptie en ontbijt erg vriendelijk. Ontbijt zeer uitgebreid. Wij waren in het naseizoen dus voldoende plek bij het zwembad. Bushalte vlakbij. Wij zijn ook vaak met de Uber naar het oude centrum gegaan. Afhankelijk van de drukte is dit niet duur (in het hoogseizoen wel).
In de omgeving van het hotel zelf in het naseizoen niet zo veel te doen. Koffieautomaat bij het ontbijt regelmatig kapot.
