Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tomah

This great budget hotel is just off I-94.

When I walked in I was struck by its warm Christmas holiday vibe. Someone puts some real effort into decorating. The person working front desk when O checked in a midnight was friendly and wide awake.

My room with two beds was clean and was perfect for its price point, which on a Saturday in January was $73 including tax.

I passed on what was the typical complimentary breakfast. I think for many people it'd be fine, but I'd prefer to grab something at the McDonald's across the road or the nearby large Kwik Trip convenience store.

The hotel was clean, quiant, and welcoming. The staff was nice and accommodating.

Initially, I didn't have the correct remote to control my TV, but the young man on duty that evening went out of his way to locate one for me. He also was kind enough to provide extra towels when I requested them.

The breakfast could use some work. More hot food options would be nice but hey, it was free.

I'd stay here again if I'm ever in the area and need a room.

Stopped here on a trip back from Chicago. It was perfect for what we needed - a clean place to sleep. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.

An added bonus was the breakfast. It was fresh and tasty. The biscuits and gravy were much better than the ones I had at a restaurant the day before. The automatic pancake maker was neat, too. And the pancake was tasty.

It is clear that the owner/management care about their property and their guests. I recommend this hotel is looking for a place to stay in Tomah.

Was not expecting much however, this property exceeded expectations. Staff really shows up for their guests.

No complaints on anything. Had a varity of breakfast items, hot and cold, although I just had herb tea. Used the exercise room for a short time. Tradmill and weights were acceptable.

This location was one of the cleanest and homiest locations we have stayed in. Very caring staff who even made banana nut bread for guests. The rooms are well laid out for long term stay. However it is SO close to Interstate 94 that we just heard semi rumble by all night long. I would stay here again.
