Extremely disappointing stay. Definitely not what you’d expect from the Taj brand.
We stayed at Taj View, Agra from 24–26 June, booking three rooms for our family. I had chosen this property because I had wonderful memories of staying here years ago, but this visit completely changed my perception.
Our rooms were handed over an hour late. The biggest disappointment, however, was the dinner buffet. We were a family of nine, and almost every dish lacked taste and quality—the very first dish we tried was so salty it was inedible. It seemed the hotel was more focused on a wedding function than its in-house guests. For the first time ever, our entire family left a buffet without eating and went to bed hungry.
The service was equally disappointing. When my father politely asked for chutney, a staff member replied, “Padi hai sir waha, jaake le lo.” This is simply not the hospitality one expects at Taj.
The rooms lacked basic amenities like dental kits, shaving kits, shower caps, etc., and we had to request them repeatedly. To make matters worse, we were given only one room key, which kept getting deactivated, resulting in multiple unnecessary trips to reception.
The only saving grace was Mr. Madan Chopra, who sincerely apologized and did his best to help. Unfortunately, by then the experience had already been ruined.
We didn’t just lose money—we lost two precious days of our family vacation. If you’re choosing this hotel expecting the legendary Taj hospitality and food, our experience was exactly the opposite.

Great place to visit. They have an amazing hospitality and overall experience. Special appreciation to staffs Amit, priyank, madan and chef prangan who made us feel like home in each meal and moment.
The hotel was excellent, with a great location and spacious rooms. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options and everything tasted very good, not just looked good.
There were a few minor issues during my stay, but the staff responded quickly and resolved them professionally. Their commitment to guest satisfaction was impressive.
Location was good. Atmosphere was like 4 star. It is indeed not a 5 star property. Rooms were good. Food was pathetic. Only dessert section was good and somewhat items in bfast. Hospitality is good , but if u could get a deal under 4K with bfast then it’s viable. U can get many better options in Agra than this.
OMG! This is the best ever birthday! The entire staff was so accommodating. Shout outs to Gaga, Yashita, Devjeet, Madan, and Anil for making my 55th birthday something special and something to remember always. The entire experience was top tier. Starting with the set up — table for 1. The music was beautiful and appropriate. The candles smelled so good and the FOOD! Oh wow!! 4 course meal with a birthday cake. My menu was created just for me! Gagan, was sooo awesome! He took care of everything! Lastly, my birthday ended with a delicious cake and confetti! If you’re looking for a great birthday location to visit, I highly recommend the Taj View! The staff really knows how to make their guest feel special and loved!!! Thank you so much Taj View, team!!!
Everything is amazing. I loved the stay
It's a beautiful property very clean and well maintained. Food is good. Breakfast time is little crowded..
Night visuals from Skywalk and pool view is amazing during day as well as night...mesmerising in dim lights..
We upgraded our room to Selections Tajview Suites. It's was all good about our stay, except for one incident. Our room's AC drain leaked at night in bathroom which made the water to flow to room carpet. In morning, when we asked them to change our room, they took so much time to decide n give us another room. For once the lady at reception told they have only this room in that category in hotel and they will get the AC drainage checked and repaired asap but couldn't change our room.
Only when the AC repair guy told the repairing work would take time as whole drainage was clogged, they changed our room immediately after that.
They shouldn't make such statements, guests are smart enough to understand this, there maybe room availability issue at that time but it doesn't exists is something to make us fool...
N unnecessary waiting in morning hours wasted our time as we had to go for local visits.
