This hotel is in a very convenient area, surrounded by parks and plenty of greenery. It’s only about a 15‑minute walk to the Palace. This was my first time staying in this part of Tokyo, and the neighborhood is very lively at night, with many local restaurants and bars.
Although this property is part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection, it does not provide the standard benefits for Platinum Elite members. We’ve stayed at many Luxury Collection hotels around the world, and this is the first time we were told we would not have access to the lounge. Additionally, we were informed that, as an upgrade, they would offer us breakfast instead—something that struck us as quite odd.
When we explained that lounge access is part of our elite benefits, the receptionist suggested that we probably hadn’t stayed at a Luxury Collection property in Asia and therefore weren’t aware of the policy. We clarified that we have stayed at many in Asia. At that point, they could no longer argue and simply stated that this particular hotel does not offer lounge access. The receptionist then consulted a senior staff member to request an exception. Ultimately, we were granted lounge access, and I must say the experience there was very nice. I genuinely appreciated her effort and persistence in trying to accommodate us. However, the hotel should clearly state in their welcome emails that elite lounge access is not provided so guests can make informed decisions before arrival.
We were also told our room had been upgraded. However, the room faced the opposite side of the city, offering little more than rooftops and helipads. It was fine for a one‑night stay, but certainly not a noteworthy view.
The next morning at breakfast, we were greeted warmly. As we were about to be seated, I noticed a window table was empty. Since it was our last day and our room didn’t have a good view, I asked if we could sit there. We were told the table was taken, even though it still had dirty dishes on it. After we were seated elsewhere, a staff member came over, cleaned that same table, and then seated another guest who had just arrived. When I confronted the staff member, she simply walked away.
The service at the breakfast restaurant was extremely minimal and far below what I would expect from a Luxury Collection property. It was disappointing and did not reflect the standard of Japanese hospitality. I ordered Japanese green tea, and after speaking to multiple staff members, it finally arrived about 30 minutes later. At the buffet, several times staff cut in front of me or abruptly reached over to refill dishes without waiting for me to finish serving myself.
Considering the high price of this hotel, I had very high expectations. I enjoy exploring luxury hotels when I travel, but this stay was a significant disappointment. Unfortunately, this is one property we will not be returning to.
Es muy top. Es caro pero es que es el hotel más espectacular. Vistas increíbles, comodidad absoluta. Personal impresionante. La atención es máxima. Todo súper cuidado. Una experiencia brutal
Muy difícil que no te guste algo
i have attempted to email this hotel multiple times to multiple email addresses over the last month. No responses and auto kick back emails that state the emails dont exist. this is a very poor experience as i haven not even stayed here yet and am trying to plan my trip. poor communication.
Room exceeded expectations. Aesthetically pleasing, modern materials and design language, beautiful view of Tokyo, comfortable bed and furniture, large bathroom with very large shower and spa-style setup. Incredibly high-level of staff care/attention to detail/training/kindness. If you told me this was a Four Seasons/Park Hyatt/Ritz etc I wouldn't have questioned it. Despite price tag, I found it to be a terrific value for the quality you're getting staying here. This was our first time in Tokyo and we found it to be very central to every area we wanted to explore while we were in town. Breakfast was the best we had while in Japan and spoiled us when we went to other hotels that couldn't match the level of selection/taste/service/view/produce-quality.
I'd be stretching to find a negative with this place. Would it be nice to have double-ply TP, sure I guess? Does anywhere in Japan have it? No, not really so it's not a differentiator that matters when you're choosing anyway and each room has a brand new bidet anyway if that's your thing. Really enjoyed our time here.
We did extensive research to find this hotel comparing to luxury hotels across Tokyo. It’s overall very modern and extraordinarily well organized. I have a recommend this hotel both for its location and it’s amenities points worth noting the Club level is well appointed and provides a nice location to relax when coming in and out of the property the gum, indoor Pool and Baths are all very well appointed on the 30th floor. PROS: Bar has incredible drinks and excellent snacks. If you stay on Club, your breakfast is at their top restaurant with amazing bento
Boxes.
We were first being ignore when checking in, the staff chose to help a foreigner first who was behind us rather than an Asian looking person like me. Prince gallery had the best view out of all other hotels I stayed. However, the stain on carpet and hardware shows sign of wear and tear, especially the common area carpet was heavily stained. The location isn't the most convenient, it seems like you need a car(with the main entrance being a driveway) or take the metro to go everywhere. The restaurant charges 15% service charge was outrageous. We had to waved down the waitress a couple of times for water. Breakfast didn’t have much selection and the quality of food wasn’t good either. Egg white omelette is the worse. At this rate, I'd rather stay at other hotel.
My wife and I spent five nights here on our visit to Tokyo. It lives up to its “Luxury Collection” name. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, with all the amenities you’d want. While in a business area of town (near the Diet building), it is easy to get anywhere in town quickly by subway. You reach one station underground without ever going outside, and a second is only 100 yards from the hotel. The daily breakfast buffet is outstanding. Best of all, however, is the staff. They are gracious and accommodating! All in all a great base for visiting Tokyo if you want a great room and experience to return to in the evening.
Perfect as usual
Incredible hotel. Amazing staff. Great views, and I hate heights. The food at breakfast was overwhelming in its selection and the quality excellent. If you go to Tokyo, then this has to be on your bucket list.
The Staff was incredible, the rooms were amazing, the amenities were wonderful, the restaurant the best!
Nothing!
