The most AWFUL ru down hotel in CT let alone the town. Dirty construction rooms, poorly run hotel, when I told them they were not accommodating or friendly and their excuse was that their busy. This hotel should be SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY for filth and a dirty environment.
Dirty and old
You should be embarrassed to have this property listed. It was filthy and unsafe and I ended up not staying here and will be requesting a refund. I checked out 20 minutes after I arrived because it was that bad. Never had this experience before.
Received a studio room with full kitchen. Other than the run being a bit worn and the coffee maker wasnt cleaned the room was great and we appreciated it.
The continental breakfast was non existent.
We were 2 days into a tandem bike trip and needed a place to stay in Ridgefield , CT. If we were in a car and had not just ridden 65 miles, we would have left and found another place to stay. The room was in a poor state of repair with mold around the tub, broken bathroom faucet handle, outlets that did not function, AC that smelled moldy. The bed was rock-hard as well.
The only saving grace was a wonderful, small, family run Mexican restaurant that was attached to the motel.
DO NOT STAY HERE, you will be sorry. Shocked that Days Inn allows them to carry their name. 4 tiny accessory pillows on king bed. Asked desk twice to bring me bed pillows, they did not. With a bad back, this was even worse. Breakfast watered down coffee, limited dry cereal, stale bread, no fruit, packets of oatmeal. One bath towel had holes in it, heavily soiled and stained furniture, brown #2 stains in toilet bowl, heavily worn mattress. Just a very unpleasant experience with obvious zero concern by desk staff to make people happy. If you need a bed fine (but bring pillows). Worst ever hotel experience.
The room was pretty shabby- with wood peeking through the carpet. No shampoos or other standard conveniences.
Literally had to shower with sandals on
I found a bed bug in my bed on the first night of my stay
Its was good location
Disappointed for that area
Dated and dirty
Not the hotel's fault but the internet was down. The problem was that the proprietor acted as tho he did not know how to do a refund....they should all know how to contact the apps if they are going to use them...
The mattress was extremely soft and sunk in the middle and lumpy - terrible if you are over 40 with back issues. And the sheets had burns on them - clean but tattered. Not what I was happy to spend $100 a night on.
Continental breakfast instead of full breakfast which I was told they had when I called. Unable to adjust hot water properly to take a shower- took forever to get hot water and then it was too hot and I couldn’t get it cooler!
Stayed in rm.220. The room was dirty. The whole place had a funky odor (rugs were all dirty). In serious need of updating. Furniture chipped. Outside window was taped shut, the screen was laying on the roof outside, torn and broken. Free breakfast was english muffin and something they called a bagel (in the NYC area you should have real bagels). The pitcher labeled orange juice appeared to be some amber liquid (apple juice??). The only other option was cheerios/raisen bran. The bathroom sink faucet was coming loose from the sink. My mistake was not in checking reviews. THe entire property is in need of updating - pot holes, junk vehicles etc. We left after one night of a 3 night stay.
Hair in the tub, tiny super thin towels, no privacy, thin walls. No one at front desk and rude when did show up. Really run down place
The couch was absolutely filthy and stained. The room was clean, but everything needed to be redone. It just was old and there was mold in the bathroom.
All good except for the breakfast.
