Great place to stay in Kobe
Pros:

My travel partner had problem walking at the time. They allowed us to park in front of the front entrance, helped with our luggage, and later my partner was able to use their wheelchair.
Having a regular shuttle bus service to Sannomiya was great.
The room was spacious and had a great view of the harbour.

Cons:

Nothing much.
Our room was quite far from the entrance.

Heel fijn hotel.
Pros:

Het was een voortreffelijk hotel op een goede lokatie. De kamers zijn ruim, hebben een mooi uitzicht, zijn schoon en hebben lekkere bedden. De badkamer is ruim en schoon. Het hotel heeft een shuttle service naar het centrum, iedere 20 minuten. Verder is er een Family Market in het hotel. Prima lokatie om Kobe en Osaka te bezoeken.

Cons:

De gym en zwembad moeten worden betaald. Dat is jammer maar staat wel beschreven.

Pros:

Das Personal war immer sehr höflich und hilfsbereit.
Das Zimmer und Bad sind für japanische Verhältnisse sehr groß und bot Stauraum. Der Shuttelbusservice ist einfach klasse!!! Alle 20min fährt ein Bus. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Es gibt einiges zur Auswahl.

Cons:

Mein persönliches Manko war das Bett. Es war für mich etwas zu weich. Auch hätte ich mir mehr Obst beim Frühstücksbuffet gewünscht. Dies ist jedoch Ansichtssache.

Pros:

Das Personal an der Rezeption und im Restaurant ist sehr gut geschult. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut (Auswahl aus 3 Restaurants). Wir haben das japanische Frühstück (wird am Tisch serviert, ist aber sicher nicht jedermanns Geschmack) und das kontinentale Buffett (riesige Auswahl) genossen. Die Zimmer sind für japanische Verhältnisse sehr groß und verfügen über einen Balkon. Die Lage wirkt auf den ersten Blick schlecht (das Hotel befindet sich auf einer vorgelagerten Insel). Durch den kostenlosen Shuttle-Service, der am Bahnhof hält, ist die Entfernung aber kein Problem. Hinzu kommt, dass man vom Hotel aus nur 3 Stationen bis Kobe Flughafen fährt, um von dort aus für wenig Geld (1.000 Yen für 2 Personen) per Schnellfähre direkt zum Osaka Kensai-Flughafen zu gelangen. Das ist günstiger und geht deutlich schneller als per Bahn.

Cons:

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Der Teppich in den Zimmer ist recht abgenutzt. Es gibt Raucherzimmer. Wir hatten zunächst ein Zimmer in der 15. Etage erhalten. Auf dem Weg vom Fahrstuhl zum Zimmer hat es äußerst strark nach Zigaretten gerochen. Im Zimmer roch es auch, wenngleich weniger. Für Nichtraucher wie uns ein "no go". Wir haben um ein anderes Zimmer gebeten, woraufhin wir ein Zimmer in der 14. Etage erhalten haben, das i.O. war. Der Balkon dient eher als Notausgang/es gibt kein Mobilar, so dass man draußen nur stehen aber nicht sitzen kann. Das Hotel ist ein Kongresshotel, ist riesig und wirkt daher auch sehr unpersönlich. Das Hotel befindet sich auf Port Island, einer vorgelagerten Insel von Kobe, die recht verlassen wirkt. In der Nähe gibt es aber einige Museen (wir waren im Wissenschaftsmuseum mit Planetarium, sehr zu empfehlen; insbesondere wenn Kinder mitreisen). Für viele Annehmlichkeiten des Hotels muss man auch als Übernachtungsgast extra zahlen (Schwimmbad, Sauna, Nutzung der Rofftopbar). Die Rooftopbar ist ein absoluter Flopp: 2 Etagen tiefer muss man Eintritt bezahlen (1.500 Yen pro Person), ohne dass man sich die Bar vorher ansehen kann. Der Weg zur Bar ist beschämend für das Hotel/führt durch einen schmuddeligen Nebenflur, dann geht es 1 Etage mit dem Fahrstuhl nach oben und dann noch 1 Treppe nach oben. Ein Getränk wie Limo, Bier oder Wein ist enthalten, muss aber aus der Flasche getrunken werden (auch der Wein!). Man kann nur draußen stehen/sitzen. Es gibt keine Musik. Durch die Abluft der Restaurants riecht es extrem unangenehm. Das ist eine reine Abzocke. Wir sind nach 5 Minuten gegangen.
