We stayed in this hotel and wow our room was super big really. Very clean very comfy. The staff were just lovely people. So friendly so helpful the whole time. They even remind you of things from time to time very thoughtful. No matter which shift everyone is just a text away and ready to help straight away. Honestly we felt very well looked after. Would absolutely recommend
Not smart tv
We stayed at Cassandra Hotel for a few nights, and honestly, it was better than we expected. The hotel is basic, yes, and they are doing some renovation, but it didn’t really bother us. The room is clean, quiet, and everything is organized. For us, it’s enough.
What surprised us the most is the customer service. Everyone at front desk is super nice and helpful. Handra, I think she’s the supervisor, she is amazing. Very friendly, always smiling, and really tried to help us with anything we need. We really appreciate that.
Some people say the price is high, but come on, it’s Vancouver. Everything is expensive here. Compare with other places, we think the price is okay, especially with the service they give. The location is also convenient, close to bus stop, food, and easy to go downtown. For tourists like us, it’s a good spot. We had a good stay and would come back again.
The front house staff were exceptionally pleasant. Very nice fridge, microwave and air conditioning.
Hotel was nice. In process of remodeling which will definitely improve the place a lot
It’s definitely dated
I really appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of Handra at the front desk.
Handra not only checked me in but accompanied me to my very comfortable room. She was exceptional in her care for a new guest.
The room and bathroom were squeaky clean with a very comfortable bed and pillows. I even had a view of the North Shore mountains!
There is off street parking in front of the hotel.
One thing that I noticed was there were no homeless people around.
This is a very vibrant neighbourhood with lots of restaurant options.
I liked everything about my stay here!
Nothing
Probably the most friendly front office staff I’ve ever met (Krystall).
Some maintenance issues.
Fresh room, quiet with decent facilities. Doing things by text was a good way to do things.
It was a bit of a distance from most things without a vehicle. Public transport is frequent but slow. I could have looked in to this before my stay so be reflection on the hotel itself
I’ll be real, I almost didn’t book here ‘cause I saw a few negative reviews. But after staying, I gotta say, those folks need to chill. The staff here are just doing their jobs and nothing wrong with that. Don’t go blasting hardworking people just because you didn’t get your way or tried to bend the rules. I’m pretty sure they’re also dealing with their own struggles, not just at work but in life too, and still, they show up and do their best. The front desk was super helpful. She gave us a big room, and even with renovations going on, everything was smooth. For me, the comfort and service were on point.
No problem
Service was good. We arrived early. She helped us. She also helped with a heating problem. The heater/air conditioner the same.
The heater in our room was noisy. We had to shut it off to stop the load noise. You couldn't read how to do that also. The downstairs bathroom was really dirty.
Nothing. Not worth the prices.
All they wanted was to charge the customers for limited services.
Had a wonderful time here got everything I needed from Handra she was sweet and so helpful would definitely recommend.
Nothing
Nothing, rude staff member, terrible experience.
Inarrived at the hotel after paying the fee only to be told by a very rude staff member that without a credit card for a security deposit i would be unable to stay, neither I or my elderly mother have a credit card. I suggested other options and was shouted at that i should have read the small print and therefor she would be keeping the money and I was to take it up with booking.com, when I asked if my elderly mother could use a restroom as she was bursting and slightly incontinent my request was refused, she shouted to my mum that she was rude and should apologise to her before she would accommodate, she then threatened to phone the police until this happened or we left. Inwouldnsugfest nobody ever stays here as the staff are rude, unaccomodating, greedy. Myself and my mum ended upnhaving to 'sleep' in the airport for 24hours until our flight home. Just this hotel has made my experience of vancouver tarnished.
Armaturen funktionieren teilweise. Defekte Toilette zum Glück am letzten Tag. Keine Sauna oder Pool wie in Googlebildern. Stand bei Buchungsbestätigung auch nicht drauf. Wohl in Renovierung.
The staff were fantastic and very helpful, especially when we had problems with the WiFi. The room was clean and well presented. Once the refurbishment is completed I am sure the property will look absolutely fantastic.
