Two guys snowboarding Pallisades Tahoe. We liked the staff.

Staff at breakfast and night clerk

Cons:

Room cleaning inconsistent and subpar.
We requested cleaning 3rd morn as it had not been touched. Even after cleaning there was a lot of kind dark hair along floors and tracking on our feet into the bed.

Great location for a snow trip
Pros:

Our room was nicely appointed and the bed was super comfortable. It was close to Soda Springs Resort which was our destination and close to good food in Truckee. We also had a billing issue and the staff was very attentive, helpful, and issued us a refund very quickly.

Cons:

The AC unit in our room was really loud. Also, there were some issues we guessed were due to the hotel being understaffed - long wait for food from the restaurant, housekeeping mistakenly skipping our room, staff being unable to find our reservation when we called prior to our stay. That being said, all staff were professional and kind and apologetic for any inconvenience. We would stay here again.

Was not made aware of parking policy. It is absolutely ridiculous for a hotel to charge for parking in their unsecured outdoor parking area

Wonderful stay.
Pros:

Have stayed here before and again we were very pleased. Room was wonderful as are the employees, very courteous and helpful. I recommend highly. Great area.

Higher prices for fewer perks since the rebrand
Pros:

We have always liked this location as a convenient Truckee base to skiing at Northstar.

Cons:

We have stayed here many times and our kids loved the included breakfast and its waffle machine. They have rebranded the hotel, just a paint job and face-lifted lobby. That’s it. Now breakfast is not included and they charge for parking. A downgrade in my mind.

Nice but nickel and dimming on costs makes me want to look for other accommodations next time I'm in the area.

Everything I noted on short survey.

Cons:

A bit chaotic. Breakfast didn't have fresh eggs (powdered) didn't have real bacon, only processed sausage. Hot water wasn't really hot. Our room wasn't made up after first night.
I did book one night directly and 3 subsequent nights with 3rd party. After I asked that two res were put together, I didn't get benefits of staying with Martis for the one night. Parking should be included because there are no alternatives to the lot. I understand that it applies to snow removal but 3 nights x $30 per seems like I'm paying more than my fair share for snow removal.

Nice family experience and spot, need to upgrade the hot water systems :)
Pros:

Very nice spot and staff, great location in Tahoe area and easy to get to Northstar, Palisades, Truckee etc. Rooms were nice, parking was easy, and our family enjoyed the "walkability" to nearby grocery, restaurants, and hiking paths. Will definitely consider staying there again.
Only issue we had - not enough hot water/at best fairly lukewarm for showers and baths. Not certain if this has been fixed, but we heard other guests mention it as well so it wasn't limited to our room and lasted for the duration of our 3 night stay.

Dreamy mountain luxury respite, slightly tucked away from touristy hustle/bustle.
Pros:

I didn't have the breakfast, but the in room coffee was exceptional. I extra appreciated the bath tub and salt soak, and multiple seating options in the room to write in. The tall ceilings and curtains felt luxurious.
Only thing that could have been better would be room service breakfast!😉

Pros:

Great stay. Very comfortable! Beautiful remodel! The staff - especially the cleaning staff - is fabulous.

Cons:

The 25.00 USD for a fairly typical buffet breakfast and 20.00 USD per night for parking felt like hidden fees and left a bitter taste. But overall, lovely, especially the staff.
