Many modern luxury hotels are cleverly designed to create the impression of space, but the bedrooms and corridors are often still quite small. This hotel is genuinely spacious because of the original proportions of this magnificent historic building.
The enormous high ceilings, spacious bedrooms, wide hallways, grand dining room and even the check-in area all give the hotel a wonderful feeling of space and grandeur. It feels authentically regal and full of character.
The service was exceptional throughout, and the hotel was also very reasonably priced for such a beautiful place. I genuinely struggled to find anything negative to say. A rare and fantastic find that I thoroughly enjoyed.
The only thing I would change and that's just a preference. The beds were quite soft. I prefer firm.
The room was comfortable. The location of the hotel and parking was great.
Very spacious rooms and great amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit.
Breakfast was excellent and the grounds of the hotel were fantastic- great views and splendid ancient trees
Fewer aeroplanes would have been great
Staff very friendly.ambience made the stay feel special.
Breakfast service was all DIY unless you asked for a pot of tea or coffee and then it arrived promptly with a smile
Just an overnight stay but an absolutely fabulous hotel. Room was large and nice to see 2 chairs instead of the usual 1, not everyone likes to lie on the bed. Nice hospitality tray selection and spotless bathroom. Took dinner in the main restaurant and couldn’t fault any of it same with breakfast-plenty of choices and HOT. One little gripe was our room was close to a wedding reception being so a bit of noise. However when you are so tired we felt a change of room wasn’t necessary and hey (hopefully) you only get married once. Talking of which as we were leaving an Indian wedding was starting, absolutely beautiful sight, wish them all the best. Everyone looked so happy.
Good location
Historic hotel
Nice atmosphere
Great free parking
Quiet room
Comfortable bed
Room was a little tired
Very busy with wedding guests on both the Friday and Saturday
No availability in the restaurant even though I tried to book well in advance
All went well but stay not long enough to comment about the facilities, for instance!
Hotel position. Hotel ambience. Very spacial.
Bedroom 2119 very noisy toilet system throughout the night needing attention.
Breakfast too expensive.
We had an excellent High Tea at the Oatlands Park Hotel. The dining room is most impressive in the historic building with great views all around. The sandwiches and pastries were all top quality with the finest ingredients. The service was exceptional with helpful recommendation from our waiter for their excellent strong English Breakfast tea which perfectly accompanied the meal. Highly Recommended !
