No much
All of it, mouldy, falling apart, rude staff I could go on
The staff were helpful
Had to change rooms as the first smelled very strongly of cigarettes. Neither room had very stable locks on the doors. The carpets were old and stained
Breakfast, swimming pool, entertainment
Air conditioning and room service each day
Lovely place close to the beach ,shops , train station etc. kids loved the comfortable beds too.
The water pressure was too low so not enough water, none of us enjoyed the shower 🚿 especially after a hot day at the beach.
Breakfast convenient
Hot water ok
Pillows were good and beds although slanted were decent
Where to start. Well, the Cecil Hotel comes to mind.
As soon as you walk in you are greeted, not by a nice hotel, but by a revolting pungent smell of damp, peeling wallpaper and decor from the ages before queen Victoria. The rooms took everything to a whole new level of execrable. Stained carpets, a bathroom that resembled "skid" row (literally), and dingy, tattered curtains. Wherever you looked in the room there was grime, filth and sights utter despair, so I just ended up just closing my eyes, dreaming of the nice hotel we could have stayed in.
We feared for our lives throughout the night, barricading the doors like it was 1815 in the french Revolution, trying to sleep as our promiscuous neighbours were singing, screaming, squeaking and squaking throughout the night.
Needless to say the place is falling apart and is being held together solely by cobwebs and wishful thinking, clinging on for dear life. It is a dilapidated dump, a biohazard, leaving you needing a tetanus shot just by touching the door handle to the room.
The place is a cesspool, a dirty abysmal establishment where I wouldn't dream of hosting the killer seagulls here let alone paying guests.
The whole stay was nicely summed up as I stepped out of the front door onto a used condom which greeted us farewell, au revoir. The calamitous decision to stay here I will not make again, nor shall I be seen dead anywhere near this utter squalid, seedy, apocalyptic wasteland ever ever again!
Basic value for money eith good location as close to shops and bars but far enough away for peace and quite. Good value price for 2 people including breakfast
Bathroom was absolutely disgusting mould shower was inadequate, just not clean
Dirty room , bed was old had USB board to stop sagging
Also all the plug s pat tests are 2025 and out of
Location close the town and bus station and a nice car park ( free) good value for money
The place could do with an up grade shower needs attention and t.v needs looking at
The location, and the breakfast room were perfect. Right on the seafront.
The room should have been redone 20 years ago. The bathroom was just short of disgusting. Everywhere room deodorant stank the air. Maybe you can stay one night but not more.
Only good thing is located on sea front but you havr to go down by foot and tiring.
Well not a good experience even having 3 rooms. Very old building, looks new from outside but inside is old and outdated. Bed sheets and pillows were ok but not exceptional. When I asked the reception to do cleaning the room he said if staying for longer time then come for cleaning. 1 toilet roll were given upon request. Small rooms not suitable for family. No locks in the bathroom. Door handle wobbly. Bathroom not clean and low pressure water not drinkable. Breakfast is not high standard but few items from lidl. No boiled eggs. Just basic white bread some juices, tiny butter, cereals etc. Tea coffee etc. Even paid approx 125 GBP per night which is on higher side. We could probably get air BnB cheaper than this. Well over all this was my family experience. Hope get a better idea. This experience is without prejudice
Budget friendly
Room was not clean, breakfast was also not as expected.
Great location
It’s very old, the bedroom carpet isn’t clean, and the toilet doesn't flush well
Sleep went well
WIFI was non-existent in my room (203). It tried to connect but would never connect. In the dining room, WIFI worked. They need to check WIFI in every room. Also showers, sometimes hot water never appeared.
Location.
Fag butts by the window. Taps were faulty.
TV didn't work. Gave us a second one. It was rubbish.
Maintenance man came in, didn't knock, my son was naked.
Won't stay there again.
