A nice hotel excellently located, prefect for a short city break.
Pros:

The hotel was clean and from the rooms I saw, modern and well decorated.
The bed was extremely comfortable however the pillows were well past their best and really should be replaced.
Location was prefect for the centre only a few minutes walk away.
A very good breakfast with plenty of choices.

Cons:

Our allocated room was a loft room. From past experiences loft rooms can be hot in the summer and this room was no exception.
As soon as we got in the room I found that the airco was not working and by coincidence or not all the windows were open. Despite them being open the room was already uncomfortably warm.
I immediately went to the reception and after a little attempt to suggest someone would look at it later, of which I was not having any of it, we were moved to another room.
This room the airco did work but at the price of the TV not working instead!
As we were not there to watch TV I chose to leave that until we checked out the next day.

Por problemas técnicos en el hotel de Flandre, no pudimos alojarnos, pero nos instalaron en el hotel Monasterium, muy cerquita del centro también. Un hotel muy tranquilo y con todas las comodidades. El desayuno muy variado, y la atención en recepción, estupenda.

Sehr gut bis auf die festgestellten Mängel.
Pros:

Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und wurde vom Personal ständig nachgefüllt. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt um die Stadt zu entdecken.

Cons:

Leider war unser Zimmer sehr kühl und leicht feucht. In einer Zimmerecke gab es an der Wand Schimmel.

Beautiful stay in Ghent
Pros:

The location is fantastic. The hotel was so close to all the main sites, restaurants and shops. We enjoyed wondering around beautiful Ghent and exploring the city. The room was comfortable and breakfast was good. Also the hotel is located near a music school and the sound of students playing violins and singing opera floated through the air! All added to the Ghent experience.

Cons:

My room was at the front of the hotel and I'm a light sleeper so I it was a bit noisy at times but mum stayed in a quieter room facing the back of the hotel and was very happy.

Gutes, zentral gelegenes Hotel
Pros:

Sehr gute Lage, man ist in wenigen Minuten im touristischen Zentrum. Nettes Hotel mit gutem Zimmer. TV und Kühlschrank vorhanden, die guten Sitzmöglichkeiten im Freien konnten wir wegen des schlechten Wetters nicht nutzen.

Cons:

Zimmer recht dunkel( kann aber auch am Wetter gelegen haben). Es wird sehr darauf geachtet, dass man bloß nicht früher als 15 Uhr einchecken kann. Parkmöglichkeiten ganz schlecht. Die Parkhäuser in Gent sind völlig überteuert mit 31€/24 Std. In Brüssel und Brügge hat es nur die Hälfte gekostet

Personeel was vriendelijk en de locatie lag zeer centraal

Er was overal enorm veel lawaai, wij hebben geen oog dicht gedaan. En dit van uit het hotel zelf….
