Central
Try to phone reception for disability access on arrival , but there was no reply. Access bell was not working on entry gate either, so we had to wait some time before going into the hotel. Staff were very helpful.
The breakfast is first rate.
The staff were very friendly and the room clean and spacious
There was no basics in the room like water and toothbrush. I paid £8 at 1am for a toothbrush from the vending machine. For a chain like Mecure I would expect this as a basic, and drinking water. The pillows were like rocks and made sleep impossible. There was a wedding party and a conference on my floor so it was super noisy. Would expect to be placed elsewhere with that going on. There was only one lift working and with the conference and wedding actually using it was almost impossible.
Location and rooms are big
Bar understaffed and under stocked
Great location. Value for money
The range of drinks in the bar
Location
Roomy
Great bathroom
Stained carpets in room.
I paid a three figure price for a room with a dilapidated carpet
Hotel was cold.
The staff were really nice.
L’emplacement est parfait en plein centre.
The Breakfast is Terrible and lukewarm. I needed a steak knife to cut the rashers. The other items were not fresh and were most likely reheated and likely made a day or two in advance. The beans were tasteless telling me that the cheapest of the cheap were used. The juce was like water. This Hotel is rated 5 stars and is expensive to stay in so there is no excuse to be using cheap reheated products. We have had better breakfasts in a 1 star. There was also a problem with the wifi that reception did not resolve. We travel to the snooker every year but this is enough to put us off staying here again. Not worth it for the price. I'm not sure that the managenent know what a 5 star Hotel means. We were given no information about the wifi code or a code for the door to get into the pool area. We also got no information on how to get a towel to use at the pool area. It should be standered practice when checking in to give you this information. 5 stars dosen't seem to mean much here.
Serve quality fresh food for breakfast that's cooked on the day of cunsumtion and not reheated cheap food to your customers. You are 5 star hotel so act like it.
Breakfast was poor and the hotel was being modernised,I don’t feel
I was advised well enough the extent of building works(no pool/temporary bar)
The location was great, central for everything.
On arrival the receptionist seemed cold and uninterested. When we got to our room the shower gel was empty so we had to use the hand soap for a shower. The tap was wobbly. When we asked at reception for some shower gel they just gave us some more hand soap. The next day we asked the room service lady if she could get us some shower gel. This never happened! The hotel seemed tired and in need of a revamp. £220 a night I would expect more
Really handy for central Sheffield.
Comfortable, and lovely staff
A bit faceless - big and sprawling, and ratty in my laces
Location
The room was quite run down
Everything was good with my stay, cleanliness, staff and location, but the breakfast was appalling i was first down on my first day around 7.15am, all the fried food etc had already been cooked in plentifull supply, if you came at 8.15 who knows what that food was like, needless to say i just eat fruit, yoghurt and had some coffee, i chose to eat my breakfast elsewhere and cooked fresh, won't stay again because of this!!
Breakfast!!!
The staff
People were great. Upstairs is tired, tatty in places and dreary. It doesn't meet the expectations of the high price
The staff are amazing and during the snooker season it’s an amazing hub, close to everything
The hotel is quite tired
