The reception staff were so wonderful and lovely and made our little baby and us feel so welcome. Beds were super comfy and rooms really big, amazing that it’s next to winter gardens!
The swimming pool needs a bit of a revamp
Had a great 1 night stay, with friendly staff, easy check in, great city location, really good buffet breakfast & quiet interconnecting rooms with air con.
Tv in one of the rooms didnt work properly & one of the mattresses was saggy, both of which reported to reception, but these didnt spoil our 1 night stay.
This place is very comfortable and has a great location right in the centre of the city. There is a spa on site which is included in the price and a great way to spend an hour or so at the end of a busy day.
The spa was amazing and the beds was very comfortable.
No parking
We loved absolutely everything about it. Even met Bradley Walsh here so bonus.
There wasn't one thing we didn't like.
The location of this property and the size of the room
The property feels very dated and was not cleaned to a high standard
It was nice and clean but it is a joke. They have no car parking so I had to pay £25 to put it in a multistorey car park when the hotel should pay for this as it’s expensive enough per night as it is never mind paying for car park

My friends and I booked for spa experience and afternoon tea. Aromatherapy spa room need more essential oil in it. Afternoon tea sandwiches were fresh. Scones were rock hard and the mini cakes were even harder - we didn’t attempt to eat them. Renata ( apologises if I’ve spelt her name wrong) was very attentive and polite.
The breakfast was good and the beds comfortable. The reception staff were lovely and the location was great.
The rooms were very hot with no air-conditioning and unable to open a window. The male housekeeper on Monday 27th July had not washed, he left the rooms and coridor smelling awful. Everyday there were trays of food and wet towels etc lying on the coridor floors, not cleared away. The pool and spa are very tired. Visible mould and mould smelling steam rooms. It desperately needs refurbishing throughout. The lady at the bar on Friday 24th july was struggling to pour a pint of beer, flicking foam out with a straw, something I have never seen before. On the whole, I feel the standards of the hotel should have been better based on the cost of the rooms.
Bed and bedding so comfy
Receptionist was not very helpful and appeared uninterested
Spa Day
Spa very tired- definitely in need of an upgrade
The room was very big and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The location was great for trams and trains.
It would have been good to have more than two teabags, and decaf would have been even better,
Location was superb, walkable to the main shopping area ie The Moor. Many cafes nearby, with Tesco Express also within walking distance.
The room was great wirh air condition. However , there was no mini fridge in room.
