good
The bed was uncomfortable. Needs to be replaced. it was very lumpy. Could upgrade toilet paper.
Clean. Breakfast was good
When we arrived. I had booked two rooms. They said only One. I showed them my booking receipt from here and she made a big deal that they were having problems with third party bookers. I explained I had been using you for years and was always pleased. Anyway that did have a room left for the other 2 people in our party
I have always liked using booking.com
And will continue to
Quiet, private and clean. Also safe - I’m an older person and personal safety has become more important
It’s in the midst of a cluster of hotels. It’s confusing getting to this property. There are no gas stations nearby. Simply put, the whole area is overdeveloped, crowded and chaotic.
The rooms were great nice an clean.. Hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was ok wish yall had bacon or potatoes bites other then that everything was good.
The property is very outdated. Full size beds with no box springs.
The AC is still a little unit under the window. Definitely not worth $250.00/night!
We picked this hotel for its location during our visit to Kentucky Derby and Mammoth Cave National Park. Instead of paying super inflated hotel prices in Louisville, and then have to move again to be closer to visit Mammoth, this location was perfect! The rate was very reasonable and part of our stay we even used points.
The four nights we were here, we got the top floor room by the stair exit. Very quiet. The area is basically a "hotel hub", quite a few hotel brands in the few blocks. Loads of restaurants choices, although mainly national chain places. It is a short drive to downtown Elizabethtown, if you want other choices for dining. All the comfort amenities close by as well, eg gas stations. Very easy interstate on/off access.
The young lady at the front desk provided excellent service. She even took photos for us at the beautiful fireplace (color changing flames) with our Kentucky Derby attire. We also wanted to give a special recognition to the breakfast room attendant. The gentleman tells us he is retired and now works at the hotel and enjoys the job. It truly showed. He kept the breakfast area spotless, one of the cleanest breakfast rooms at a Fairfield Inn. Always replacing items and keeping trash cans emptied. Great job!
During our stay we did not request housekeeping, but when we needed clean set of towels, the young lady was very quick in exchanging them. We did not use the pool on site. Did notice the indoor pool was closed for a couple of days.
The only negative thing: evening front desk staff. The gentleman that worked for 2 nights we encountered, does not seem to be very enthusiastic about his job. Perhaps it is a training issue. Hotel is a hospitality industry, it is part of the job to be welcoming and not indifferent.
We had to request 2 nights to have hot water for tea. Also requested to have coffee, but that was never fulfilled. Not sure if it is their policy not to have coffee & hot water in the evening. That would be out of the norm for Fairfield Inn. All the other properties we've stayed at seem to stock both, even early evening.
Very nice. Room was clean and nicely assembled
Stayed at this Fairfield Inn & Suites for one night in late March 2025 for our last night on the road before returning home from our extended stay in Florida. The stay was OK. However, I was not impressed at all with the gentleman that checked us in. (And I thought it was very unusual he was still at the front desk the next morning.) He just did not seem like he had it all together or was on the ball.
We have stayed at this hotel before and have been quite pleased, but not sure we will stay there again for any future travel needs.
Unfortunately, most of the Marriotts we stay in nowadays have gone way down hill regarding the appearance of their staff. Again, I am old school, but still people at the front desk need to look somewhat professional. And I certainly don’t want to hear that “since the pandemic….” The pandemic has been over for awhile now and it is a very lame excuse to co tinge to use.
Very clean, friendly staff, easy check in process.
Clean and lovely staff!
Quiet and well located, near highway interchange and several food/gas options. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout checkin, breakfast and checkout.
Drawbacks were no microwave in the room, very small fridge in room (did not accommodate a standard takeout to go box), no available outlet for the coffee maker that didn’t require it to sit on the floor or move large furniture and unplug other lights, and no visitor chair for seating so everyone has to sit on the bed. Rooms are recently renovated so finishes are clean and in nice shape so it’s surprising that a few basic conveniences were missing.
We stayed here one night while visiting Mammoth Cave National Park. Our family has had some interesting experiences with places we've booked for one night - so I took care to book something I thought would be welcoming in our travel- weary state. It was worth it to backtrack north from cave city in order to access a Marriott family property. The hotel is set back far from the highway. It's very close to a lot of really good dining options, as well as other hotels. The lobby is welcoming, clean and updated. The breakfast area was very nice. The indoor pool was small but looked nice. Our room was clean and extremely quiet - yay! The bathroom was nice. However, the beds were very small - they seemed more narrow than an average full size bed - and they were pretty uncomfortable, unfortunately. They were platform beds with a very thin box spring- maybe only a couple inches deep. Not a dealbreaker though. The breakfast buffet was really good, according to my husband and daughter. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area!
The pillows were soft.
Too expensive for the quality.
Location to event
Rooms were not up to expectation of booking and value for what I paid. This booking was a substitute for my reservation another hotel lost, but this hotel was definitely not up to the standard of what we would have had at the other hotel.
Hotels.com said there was a charging station for my Electric vehicle. There wasn’t one.
The facilities & service were great!
Our room was clean. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast attendant was on top of things! This stop is on our list of places we are willing to stay again. Even though they were at capacity, there was plenty of parking available for us pulling a trailer.
Everyone was so nice and friendly. Misty greeted us as soon as we walked in and was quick to let us in our room. Everyone we dealt with was welcoming and professional.
It sucked the price was way too high. The water pressure had 3 settings and one felt like rocks hitting me then the other felt like nothing the last one just hurt. Also while I was in the shower, the caps on the soaps broke so I barely got any soap, but when I did the drain fell off so the tub was like a bath.
