Tee/ Kaffee mit sehr leckeren Doinuts zum Frühstück.
Liegt direkt an einer super befahrenen Kreuzung, die Trucks fahren quasi in Kolonne rein und raus aus dem Hafengebiet, Bikes holen ordentlich Schwung. Wer taub ist oder auf extremen Dauerkrach steht, . Ist hier richtig. Das 1 Queen-size Bett war sauber, ansonsten möchten wir nichts anfassen, abgewrackt..Es stank.
Das Bild hatte nichts mit unserem Zimmer zu tun.
Für eine Nacht, haben wir uns überwunden, sonst wären wir gar nicht erst eingezogen.
Adorable! Super cute, retro, hip theme. You can tell there is a lot of thought and effort put into everything there. Easy process. Front desk staff super friendly. Loved the whole vibe. Honestly, slept the best I’ve slept in months 🤣 Loved the RC Cola’s and Moon Pies in the room too. Popcorn upon arrival. Donuts in the morning. What more could you ask for?! Also loved that I received a personal text the day of our arrival confirming check in and asking if I needed anything. I had a question and they responded immediately. Just an all around great experience and I would recommend this place to anyone!

Property was in a convenient location. The bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly.
You have to stream the television from your phone if you want to watch anything. Even though you park right by your room there is a $25 a night parking charge. Water pressure was horrible. This motel had more outside noise than any I’ve ever stayed in. Bring ear plugs. Also a man sat down outside our room and talked to himself and knocked on our door. Had to call the office at 1 am to ask for him to move.

The TV didn’t work
The Thunderbird Inn IS the hippest hotel in Savannah and Wren IS the hippest employee! He is very chill and friendly. Wren offered excellent information about going downtown to River Street. Hubby enjoyed the retro style and the yummy donuts. The room was very clean and the bed/pillows were comfy. I appreciated the mini fridge .. much larger than most places. Shower was hot and pressure good. I liked that there were pump dispensers for shampoo/conditioner/moisturizer. It was the perfect walking distance to River Street and surrounding areas.
I read a plethora of the reviews and I got to say, some people are just too picky or choose to be negative-focused. The bathroom exhaust fan that is always on was actually like a white noise machine and helped us to sleep better. We arrived on a Sunday (Mother’s Day) so traffic noise was minimal. I did hear more street activity the next morning after waking, but it didn’t keep me from having a restful sleep. (I brought earplugs after reading it could be noisy and didn’t need them). The $25 parking fee is a bargain. I searched the downtown hotels and they get $50 per night, plus you have to do valet. I much prefer to have my vehicle right outside my motel door for easy access.
The Thunderbird Inn is a unique, budget friendly, clean motel. We had a wonderful stay and would return. I definitely recommend! 😊🍩

Too noisy and doesn’t deserve the price. Parking is not free, $50 for animal. Sum up the money and you can stay in hotel with free parking and cheaper pet fee.
The Thunderbird Inn has a great vibe. I'll stay here again when I am in Savannah.
