Not far from shopping and dining. Good walking distance. We would short stay again, one maybe two nights.
The cleaning of things in our room varied from could be better, to okay, to missed the mark, but bed smelled clean and was comfortable to us. They are on a busy road and our room was lower level, but didn’t really have a problem with road noise.
We liked the retro feel of the hotel.
We loved the donuts every morning.
Check in was very smooth and we appreciated the text messages and communication with that.
Floors were very clean and fresh.
Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.
We didn't get to enjoy any popcorn - none was ever made or available.
The shower and bathroom could use a little "tlc" - shower curtain is ripped where it attaches to the shower bar and there are some tiles missing and in bad shape.
Would have maybe like to see a workstation desk for some computer work.
Better pillows - even though some extras were provided.
We understand that this hotel was top 10 in retro hotels in previous years but some extra "tlc" is needed - the A/C unit was blowing out some black stuff.
Staff was very kind, Crystal in particular! Crystal went above and beyond for us!

No regular tv available, only thru apps on phone (which we couldn't get to work). The light in bathroom never went off (switch broken). The decor and over all room was chipped, cracked, non-functioning. Shower curtain was too high up and caused water to leak out over bathroom floor. The washcloth was so thin and worn out is fell apart at first use.

I liked the space, including a seating area. Location was good, walkable to most things, and it was nice to have a bit of old school character. Bed was comfy. I appreciated the fact that there were no doors between rooms like I found at other hotels in the area. So I didn't have to listen to neighbours coughing or watching TV. Staff were friendly.
Free breakfast wasn't what I would call breakfast. For me, a donut is a one off treat, not a daily breakfast option. But they were nice donuts! I thought there was an outside area to sit and enjoy based on pictures, but that's really only for dogs.
Loved the fun retro vibe, the comfortable bed, great shower with hot water and the easy 1/2 mile walk to riverfront.
Traffic noise, but it was worth it for the location.

Hotel byl relativně blízko centru, v dochozí vzdálenosti. Parkování v areálu bylo možné, ale placené, nebylo však potřeba dopředu rezervovat. Recepční milí. Pokoj byl velký a dobře vybavený.
Tento typ hotelů, kde má pokoj okno na terasu a tím pádem každý vidí do pokoje moc nemám ráda. Abyste měli soukromí, musíte si zatáhnout rolety a v pokoji je tak tma a i přes den musíte svítit umělým osvětlením a to není moc ekologické ani příjemné.

Neighborhood north of the property is a bit sketchy , just stayed the other way
This has become a VERY basic hotel, priced as an intermediate hotel. Although the front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful, it seems the owners are cheap. Unless you want to stream TV services, you will have no TV. I am technology savvy, but I choose NOT to have all the extra apps. on my phone. TV services is basic at any other hotel. Yes, you get an RC Cola and a moonpie, but how about a water instead as many visitors take medication. The washcloths look like they have been used as cleaning rags. Although they were out of the advertised popcorn, that was fine as it was very obvious the popcorn machine needed a thorough cleaning.
On the positive, this hotel is within walking distance to good restaurants. Although I have stayed here in the past, but this will be my last stay due to the cost versus what you receive.
