Only one little complaint the Fan couldn’t decipher if it was the kitchen fan or the cooler fan but it was cutting in and out all night and it was 30degrees in my bedroom so I had to have the window open ! Thats the only real niggle !

Cosy, heritage site with delicious breakfast
Pros:

The breakfast was amazing very good quality.
Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Comfortable room had everything we needed.

Cons:

Our room could have done with a deep clean.
Corners of bathroom floor had built up dirt. Ceiling was dusty, toilet wasn’t properly clean on arrival.

Pub is a bit noisy, we stayed on Saturday night, however it didn’t travel into the room or keep us up.

Wedding bells!
Pros:

We stayed for the night as we were invited to a friends wedding. The Hotel was well located. I only spoke to two members of staff. They were both pleasant and helpful. Breakfast the following morning was very nice and there was plenty of choice so all good.

Cons:

Nothing that springs to mind. The Parking at the back of the Hotel is a bit tight. However I got in and got out so all good!

Cosy but could be noisy
Pros:

Quirky coaching inn with attractive decor

Cons:

Our room, the cock and blue suite, faces the alley where there were many pub revellers making a lot of noise and kept us awake

Pros:

Easy check in, staff were friendly and helpful. Ample parking space. Room was clean and facilities like tea and coffee were available..

Cons:

Room was a bit on the small side and overlooked the main street. Extremely noisy outside until1 am. Staff at breakfast first morning were very accommodating however 2nd morning the girl was surly and inflexible to our needs.

A very good overnighter for a comfy sleep and a good breakfast.
Pros:

I stopped for one night only on a single basis; the room was maybe a little small for an extended stay by a couple. The room was clean with up to date furniture - plenty of clothes storage - and a very comfy double bed. The en-suite was quite new and very clean; shower gave hot water quickly. The breakfast was excellent - very tasty and well cooked; the young lady on reception/waitressing in the morning was very helpful and efficient. The adjoining bar was very busy - vibrant - on the Saturday night. The ale was excellent.

Cons:

All fine so no comment here.

Lovely historic historic pub and hotel, staff were friendly
Pros:

Lovely pub, old school, food and drink was decent and the price was good

Cons:

Bed was small, Above a pub on a Saturday night, people shouting outside, also right next to a church which rang its bells for an hour Sunday morning from 8:30

Beautiful stay in a lovely town, shame about the Church bells
Pros:

Really nice old hotel on the high street, with a good pub underneath.
The staff were really helpful and the room was lovely.

Cons:

unfortunately no parking available and the church bells across the road ring through out the night and kept me awake. which is clearly not the hotels fault, but I will bring ear plugs next time

Really great location, staff and comfy room - would definitely stay again
Pros:

The check-in is in the pub/bar next to the main hotel, the locals seemed friendly as were the staff who issued our keys and showed us to the room.

the room was clean and decent size, very comfy bed.

nice light / view over the high street & church.

good shower and excellent Full English breakfast.

the parking is accessed from the rear and was sheltered (the parking is inside an old barn).
