It's calm welcoming peaceful atmosphere.

Pros:

Stony was great but high street v noisy

Quick overnighter.
Pros:

Lovely olde world inn in a lovely village. Loved the free parking and the room was nice and the bed comfy. We slept well. All the staff we met were lovely And we had a nice breakfast. Good value too.

Cons:

A few negatives. Our room 101 was very dusty. . The carpet, plant, mirror everything needed a proper spring clean. Also the toilet seat was knackered and toilet bowl was black.

very good weekend in a lovely little town
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and fit for purpose

Cons:

Noisy location with the main village being active very early morning. The church bells should not be allowed to chime after 12-00pm or before 6-00 am instead of all through the night

Think hard about staying here.
Pros:

The bed was lovely and confortable, the breakfast was amazing and one staff member at breakfast was lovely.

Cons:

When we arrived we had to go into the vault bar to check in, we were faced with extreme bad language from guests chatting which made both of us uncomfortable and we were then worried what was to come. The staff member didn't say a word other than, room *** on arrival. What a lovely start. The room was unclean, there was hair in the shower trap, cobwebs on the curtain rails, a nasty smell from the toilet, of which the lid was up. The towels hardly covered your modesty. After a really hot day travelling in the car, there were 2 cans of like warm water in the room. We were really looking forward to a cold drink in the bar, but there was no way we were going back in there. We used the quick key drop to check out and will never go back. There were staff around but no one said anything to us.

Friendly staff great breakfast lots of history just the damned fan !!
Pros:

Breakfast was lovely quality ingredients eggs were proppa golden yolks and beautifully cooked

Cons:

Only one little complaint the Fan couldn’t decipher if it was the kitchen fan or the cooler fan but it was cutting in and out all night and it was 30degrees in my bedroom so I had to have the window open ! Thats the only real niggle !
