Fairfield Inn & Suites Valparaiso

I had an excellent experience with a caring staff. Lucy, Lisa and the entire staff created an exceptional experience for me after a horrible travel day. Thank you to the entire team. I highly recommend this hotel.

I do not recommend this Marriott location. It took awhile for the clerk to come out of the office and check us in. Then when she did come out she treated me as if I was an inconvenience. It is located on an extremely busy road with lots of LOUD trucks and traffic. We could hear the road noise even with a loud sound machine and the AC fan going constantly. The breakfast was good with hot and cold options and even gluten-free muffins. Overall I would never stay here again.

Totally underimpressed… renovation has major impact on the safety and cleanliness of this property. Non functioning elevator… no TV… no ice machines on property. My severely disabled husband had to make his way down the stairs. The manager did nothing to address this fundamental safety issue. Avoid until the renovation is complete. I’m a long time Marriott member who especially admires the Marriott committee to handicapped access… this property was unsafe.

We were not told about renovations until after we booked (of course) so the entire place is a mess. Zero amenities (no ice, no fitness, no pool, no laundry). Hotel room smelled toxic from all the chemicals they've been using during the renovation. Toilet barely flushed. Mattresses are very old. Train horns blasted for minutes at a time very close by every two hours all night waking us up. Housekeeping was banging on the door early in the morning even though checkout is at noon. Front desk (Lucy, the general manager) was unfriendly. They locked us out of our room before checkout so we couldn't get packed and when we tried to call the front desk about room keys not working they just didn't answer. Room doors also rarely close on the first attempt. Stay anywhere else.

Hotel was nice, I just wouldn’t stay here again til renovation is complete. Would have been nice to yes pool and it was closed.

We have stayed here before, we just completed a 2 night stay. Stay away. I will never stay there again. Construction, closed pool, rude front office, no hot water- all part of a very poor experience. Management makes excuses, despite construction the nightly rates are ridiculous for this level of property. Stay away

Construction work lasted into evenings and on weekend. One of the staff was very rude.accused me of hiding dogs when I had it in reservation and had already paid the fee.

Nothing except the staff were very kind

The room was good. I used my phone to look at the website for Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Valparaiso. Had I scrolled down a bit further I would have seen it was under major renovations. That is my fault. Had I known I would have picked a different place to stay. Too bad they didn't offer a lower price due to most areas being off limits.

Hotel was under renovations & pool was not open

The ataff was wonderful but the hotel was underrenovation had no pool or spa . Will not until 2027 had we known that we choosen a different hotel.

My son was not allowed to check in even though he is an adult. The age policy was no where on the Expedia site before I paid for the room.

Breakfast was ok. Floors felt like they would cave in and sqeeked.

Staff was friendly and breakfast was good and included in price.

Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were a few dated things like the TV and alarm clock. Breakfast was really good with a lot of variety.
