A lovely second stay with beautiful views
Pros:

This was our second stay at Hotel Grand Vesuvio, and we thoroughly enjoyed it once again. The views are beautiful, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast is very good. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and we particularly like that each room has slightly different décor, giving it a bit of character.

The hotel is a little outside the town centre, but it’s only a short drive away. We actually appreciate the location, as it offers a welcome reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the town. Ample parking is another definite advantage.

Cons:

The corridors can be quite noisy, which is a little disruptive when you’re in your room.

Not worth the money. Better placed to stay near by.
Pros:

I really did enjoy the holiday. The hotel however was a slight let down.
The friendliness of the cleaning staff was excellent. They were busy all day long and very helpful.
The breakfast staff and the bar staff in the evening were also helpful.
Bus service was great also.

Cons:

The “youth club gang” there was one attentive life guard, and one boy who was overwhelmed by bikinis.
The bar staff through the day were either trying VERY badly to pull off a joke atmosphere, or they were just happy there was no boss about. There was a female staff member there and they were so uninterested with my request. I felt like a piece of s**t. (I asked for a cocktail with no ice) she rolled here eyes and muttered in Italian, what ever she said was hilarious to her co worker, very unprofessional.Told my wife, never again.
The reception staff through the day need some serious customer care. I noticed a class difference, I wore a black band T-shirt and jean shorts, told minimal information, fobbed off, rolling eyes.. wore a suit the following night.. all smiles etc.. same person.. I know some people have off days. But for the price I paid for the room.. your off days should’ve be a day off for the customer experience.

Pros:

The rooms were clean and serviced every day. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the transfer to the city center was very convenient. The pool was large and had plenty of sun loungers.
