A fantastic price for standard food and drinks, nothing special.
Pros:

Breaking the fast on March 3, 2026, I was shocked to see the bill (1.2 million rupiah per person). The prices were unreasonable, with relatively little variety, and nothing special. Even one of the cakes (ongol-ongol) tasted stale. The juice wasn't made from real fruit.

My home away from home family!
Pros:

I love the staff at this hotel! So cheerful and gracious. I spent 10 days here this trip and this is my 4th time to stay at the same location. From check-in to getting around/help with transportation, breakfast and dinner at the Executive Lounge, or a massage at the SPA, it was excellent service. Even quick solutions to problems.

Special shout outs to Iba and Dara for putting up with my extra chit-chat at breakfast in the Executive Lounge. Always remembering my coffee choice. Dara even drew a beautiful picture of me. Iba helped me move when I was needed to change rooms.

The evening dinner hour staff in the lounge was always pleasant and helped me feel at home. Taking care of my special requests—like heating up Martabak and the glass of wine when I didn’t quite make it on time.

Putri in the Spa is an excellent masseuse.

The concierge staff were simply amazing. I had so many questions and needed so much help with transportation to different locations all over Jakarta. They made shipping packages easy and always helped me figure out a solution. A special thank you to Barat for watching out for his adopted “Mom” to make sure that I was always taken care of. It was a wonderful surprise to meet his wife and daughter!

I will definitely be back!

Staff is polite but hotel was a disappointment.
Pros:

The location is not great for leisure travelers. It's in the heart of the business district and not close to the main sights.
Atmosphere in the lobby is nice but getting into the hotel is arduous with a lot of checks.
Rooms are old and dates. Carpets are dirty. I was very disappointed since this is a JW. Bathrooms were old as well. When I asked to change the room they offered me another old room and wanted to charge me for a renovated room.

I already paid by booking, they tried to charge my credit almost triple of the room charge and I did not know why, I was blocking the amount from the credit card, so they cancelled my stay, I will refund from booking but they are very bad

Pros:

Room is spacious with 2 double beds, enough to share with my 7 and 11yo kids.
Ammenities given are great too.
Breakfast has variety of foods being offerred and taste can be be impmroved. I like the pastry the section most.

Cons:

The hotel is pretty old so they are doing renovations to the upper level.
One of room we booked was at the upper part and can still smell the glue/ paint odour. They let us use to air purifier to get the odour out.

Staycation at JW Marriott Jakarta
Pros:

Staycation at JW Marriott Jakarta from 18–19 January 2026 and had a really enjoyable stay.

Big thanks to the team for the upgrade to a Junior Suite. a great touch and much appreciated.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and well looked after. I also enjoyed the Club Lounge, which had a relaxed vibe and a good range of fresh juices.

The staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay, from check-in to check-out.

Just a small suggestion, it might be worth switching the bathroom soap to pump-style dispensers, as that’s pretty much the standard these days and would be a bit more practical.

Overall, a great stay that lived up to the JW Marriott name. I’d be more than happy to stay here again.

Great hotel with an amazing executive lounge
Pros:

What a great hotel. From the moment you arrive everyone, the security team, front office staff, housekeeping and the lounge staff are always smiling and ready to help you. Jakarta is a massive city and where you stay depends why you’re there - as far as location goes, this hotel suits me. The hotel as all the usual facilities along with a couple of restaurants. The rooms are clean and a great size. The thing that stoof out most for me was the executive lounge - I stay in Marriott hotels all the time and this was the best executive lounge I’ve ever seen in terms of service offering - there is a nice afternoon tea service, then the usual evening cocktail service with the largest selection of dishes I’ve seen in any Marriott and once the evening cocktail service finishes there is a light bites service until the lounge closes.
I know where i’ll be staying next time I’m in Jakarta.
