Nice boutique hotel right in the middle of Frankfurt city centre, just off the main shopping street Zeil. Was visiting Frankfurt for the Xmas markets which were within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Lovely, friiendly, welcoming staff. Great selection for breakfast, the room was very comfortable and a great shower.

Be aware that smoking is permitted in the hotel and there is a small lounge off the dinig area where this is permitted. However, neither the dining room nor our room smelt of smoke.

Location was excellent, though we did have a hard time finding it in the dark and in the middle of the Christmas market. The staff was excellent, the rooms quite spacious, the breakfast was good and they even have cake, tea, and coffee in the afternoon.

The property has great potential but needs some attention and maintenance to really make it an excellent property. We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, although the towel warmer didn’t work and the shower had broken fixtures. We did appreciate the complimentary breakfast. Overall, a positive experience and would stay again.

Outstanding location amazing and helpful staff , best advice and directions

Close walking distance to Paulsplatz, several of the local cathedrals and other dining and shopping options. It is also a fairly short walk (10 minutes or so) to the Frankfurt Hbf (main train station) which is very convenient if traveling light and it can save you 10-15 Euro versus a taxi. The proximity of the train station also makes it a good jumping off location for trips to Munich, etc.

As with most European hotels the rooms can be very "efficient" with regard to size and amenities when compared to U.S. hotels. The Zentrum is an older hotel but it was clean and well appointed for the money. Since it is located across the street from a rather good sized shopping plaza and bierhaus, it can get a bit noisy of Friday and Saturday nights. Also, two additional things worth mentioning. First, don't forget to bring you plug adaptors/convertors for recharging your electronics! While some hotels will provide a "loaner" don't count on it. We had our own so I am unable to comment on whether the Zentrum provides them or not. Second, most German cities have a local tourist tax. Throughout our travels, it averaged about 8 euro/day and it is collected at check out.

best location / great staff really like it and recomend it

The location is great. It is right beside the st. Catherine church. The lobby is pleasing, a typical German decoration with comfortable table and chairs for breakfast and afternoon tea and coffee. All is included in the hotel price. The room size is okay and the bed is comfortable except bathroom is small and water spilled everywhere when taking shower. Overall it was a wonderful experience in Frankfurt. We love to return soon to the same hotel as the staff are very welcoming!!!

Excellent location for the Christmas Market. which is directly across the street. Breakfast was delicious and service excellent!

Small rooms, No A/C

A clean basic hotel well located. Unappealing entrance in small shopping arcade. Rooms basic and clean. No bath but good shower. Staff most willing. Modest breakfast bar, food fresh. Fine for short stay.

Great location, great staff. Two problems, weather was hot and no air conditioning but did have a fan. What really bothered me was the internet / wifi did not work very well, it would work for a few minutes than stop, later would work again then stop - very aggravating.
