Clean room, very friendly staff
We paid and confirmed our two room suite. One week before arrival they called and took details and confirmed for our arrival. 30 minutes before our early arrival we received an email that said to call Club Wyndam Resorts in Sedona AZ. because they had “downgraded” our room. I called and they said they had overbooked and the only thing available were two downgraded rooms and would have to separate us. They didn’t have any options other than to send us another 25 miles to Flagstaff. This was not our plan. Then they were going to charge us another $158.00 which I refused to do. They took the charge off. We had to take the separate rooms my husband took the two young boys to one room and I took the girls to another. This was not right. Especially that we were confirmed a week prior to the date and gave us such a late notice. Plus we even arrived early. I seriously think we need to be compensated for the inconvenience. Our whole planned vacation was separated. Is there anything that Expedia can do to help us out. The room had a roach in it and the bathroom doors were dirty. I would not recommend them as you are not guaranteed what you pay for and confirmed. Finally, because we were downgraded and did not get what we requested and paid for we should not have been charged the same amount we agreed on for the 2 room suite. I have never had to complain about services from Expedia but this one should be known for others.
Great location, accommodation and views.
Pool and game rooms. Good customer service.
The lobby coffee was always cold.
The AC was not working , last minute they changed my room. I will never book here again
A lovely experience, the one bedroom deluxe which offered a bedroom, loving area, kitchen and patio. Well appointed and furnished with all we needed. A very pleasant and enjoyable stay.
The front desk staff, very pleasant and helpful. Although the concierge staff is there to encourage time share sales, they were not too pushy and gave us the time we needed to make a decision.
We love to stay at the Wyndham in Sedona, Very friendly staff and great location with easy parking. The units are now a bit outdated but still great for family stays. Thank you, Wyndham Sedona!
This was our first time staying at this Wyndham property in Sedona, as guests of family members. The two bedroom condo was huge with more than enough room for us. We had an issue with water from the master shower leaking onto the bathroom tile, it looks like they removed a shower door and put up a curtain in it’s place. We were staying upstairs which had a partial view of the beautiful red rocks and the gorgeous trees on the property. It snowed all day on Friday and we loved watching the snow fall from our master suite and living room. The snow was beautiful but it did make it a bit challenging going up and down the stairs with a bad knee. Unfortunately there is no indoor staircase or elevator so it was difficult to navigate the stairs when both the stairs and railing had snow and ice on them. Fortunately for us, they put salt down right before check out which helped a bit. It’s really too bad the stairs can’t be covered. The condo is conveniently located in town with all kinds of restaurants surrounding it. It was a nice stay.
Spacious, especially after staying in a traditional hotel room. Nice to have the laundry option. The bed mattress could of been upgraded.
Location
Pressure to attend a Timeshare sales pitch
This unit was perfect for what we needed. It has all the amenities one would expect with Wyndham — two bedroom suites with kitchen, dining , and living areas. The balcony was a nice bonus. But I would have rated it excellent, had we been given a balcony where you can actually see the mountains. The view was blocked by trees and we were placed on the first level. The check in process was excellent and staff were helpful, friendly, and gave great restaurant recommendations. The location is excellent and you can walk or drive easily to different establishments. There is a Safeway across the street for those looking for grocery store.
We were given a handicapped accessible room because they no other rooms left. Again, disappointed that the view to the mountains was obstructed.
The actual accommodation was nice ! It was spacious and clean . There was also a washer and dryer which was great. I don’t think I would stay again though bc upon check in we had to deal with the annoying sales person . They try to push you into purchasing a time share which we were not interested in. They were very annoying and rude. the actual accommodation was nice but would not want to deal with the rude /mean sales people. The guy was actually insulting my fiancé - saying my fiancé was in a bad mood bc he did not want to learn more or go to an information session . My fiancé finally told him like it was . The rest of the stay was ok but never again . Had I realized it would be like this I wouel not have booked here.
I enjoyed the pool and the cheerful Mr. James.
The rooms were a bit dated and the spare linens for the fold out queen couch were for a twin size bed. It suited us well enough (beds and bathrooms with full kitchen) for the 1.5 days we were there at the end of our road trip but I would not choose to stay here as my actual destination.
Great location and staff was nice. The "rental condo" was not up to par to be inline with wanting a time share at this location. The rental condo needs some major vamping up! Carpet that is not ripping, screens that do not have holes, shower heads that you can wash your hair with, placemats and napkins... appliances that are in this century and just an overall step up!! You want the rental condo to tell the renter "I want to go to the timeshare info meeting!!! Great location and free parking. Staff was very helpful so bring the condos up to the level!
Club Wyndham Sedona used to be a nice place to stay in Sedona. Maybe we got a bad room. But first the good things.
Staff are very friendly, and the location is lovely (as are most locations in Sedona). The neighborhood is mostly quiet, although loud exhaust noise from the highway occasionally intruded. The room was clean and comfortable, and the washer-dryer combo helped us reduce the amount of clothing we needed to pack. The kitchen is adequate.
Not so good --
The kitchen counter space is tiny. The toilet flushes unreliably -- often requiring a second flush. The bathroom door actually rubs the front of the toilet when it opens and closes. One of our two one-bedroom units also had many problems, such as the air conditioner not working initially, a light out over the counter, the refrigerator freezing all of the food, the key needing to be reprogrammed almost daily (for a 10-day stay), the main computer being down so the door key could not be reprogrammed on one occasion and so the staff could not contact me about some of these problems on another occasion (even though they had my phone number written on a piece of paper). Most of these problems were addressed -- eventually -- and, as mentioned above, the staff members were always friendly. But I am left with the impression that this location has done a much better job of training staff to be friendly than they have of training staff to solve problems.
We did not experience good customer service at this accomodation. When we initially got in our room and wanted to watch a movie, nothing worked. Unaware it had been unplugged - and unsure why. There was aluminum foil over the vent in the bathroom as per picture. Unsure why but the temperature control in the room was either warm or cold. We were asked to go to a presentation about being able to use our points more effectively and told we would get a voucher for 50% off and an adventure at a discounted price. We had to cancel the adventure as they did not want someone with a backinjury and I had just been rear ended. My husband wanted to play golf but was told we needed no voucher, then went to golf and they said we did. I called or spoke to different people a total of 7 times but no voucher arrived at the golf facility. The golf resort were nice enough to give us a discount "Friend of a member" which was similar to the Wyndham. When we went back in to ask what had happened about the voucher, essentially was told "oh, you don't need it, you got the discount." Well, if that is true why didn't the multitude of people that we spoke to, tell us that without going through so much stress with all the calls. At the presentation if you don't buy at $105,000 then the presenter's attitude changed even though he initially said he didn't care whether we bought or not. The whole experience was horrible and the presenter stated that Wyndham really wants high customer service for their owners, but that is not what we experienced. The girl who checked us in, was helpful and fixed our VCR. One of the female concierge's also returned our call and attempted to follow up. The room was tiny for a 1 bedroom, kitchen extremely tiny with few items in the cabinets. I would not recommend wyndham. I don't think it is worth going to the presentation as the expectation is that you will buy! Certainly not worth the stress of so many call's to get a discount on golf!
A great place today in Sedona. We had three units all located in the same building. Units are comfortable though a bit outdated. I understand that an update is planned for next year.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Various activities are scheduled throughout the week. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby.
Here is my perspective. The room is the difference between an ok trip, or a great trip. The 1st room we saw, 1 bedroom, no balcony, smallish kitchen, regular bath tub. not that fun, a 3. The room we got, 1 bedroom, balcony, full kitchen, jetted tub! Excellent! A 5. Reccomend it.
Staff? Outstanding. Grounds great, Pool and jacuzzi. Winner!
