Star Holiday Hotel

Clean room, staff were friendly, allowed early check. Location was brilliant, opposite blue mosque and Hagia Sophia and the tram line.
Breakfast was okay but could do with more variety.

The Hotel and the staff was excellent and the location of the hotel was the best.

The hotel was very central and could walk everywhere and catching the public transportation was easy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the view of the Blue Mosque from the Breakfast terrace was amazing.

Walking distance to actration places and metro with good services given

From one point of view, location is excellent - it is in the very center, you can walk to all historic places. From another, it is not reachable by car, so a cab driver left us far from the place as the streets are closed for cars. The same when we were leaving for the airport, the transfer was organized by the hotel but still we had to walk to another street when the car could come. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom stinks, as the building is very old. They tried to renovate it but they could have done less rooms but make them larger and with real windows and not the thing they made. When the hotel staff organized the transfer to airport for us, they charged is $50 which is more or less a normal price there and we agreed, but they joined us and another family in the same, without even asking us, and when we complained they gave us back only $10. In general, be very careful with money there, as people try to cheat you.

Basic but clean hotel, and the staff and the manager are helpful. I would stay there again.

I liked the location and staff helpfulness. I disliked how long the heater took to heat up the room. It would be great if the toilet paper quality was better.

Great location and clean hotel. It is just a few minutes from Sultanahmet tram station and a couple stops away from both the Grand Bazaar and Eminonu ferry boats. I'll definitely reserve it again when visiting Istanbul.

Very nice hotel and excellent location. The service and the staff were very nice and caring.

Location is perfect, close to the tramway station and to all the touristic sites.
Breakfast buffet at the rooftop is good and have a good view.
Everything else was average. (clean small room, tight elevator, pour acoustic isolation between rooms)
Comparing to the price per night i do recommend this hotel.

Absolutely love the location of this hotel as it located right in front of Sultan Ahmet tramway station and nearby to many places of attraction. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Staffs are very friendly. However, during my second trip to Istanbul recently, I was transferred to another hotel because the receptionist has sold my room to a couple who did not turn up on the day for check in but demand for a room on the next day they came and the hotel sold my room to the couple. In my opinion, they should have transferred the couple to the next hotel because my booking has already been paid and confirmed. Even thought they have upgraded my room but still I felt unsatisfied because of the distant to the next hotel. The main reason I choose Star Holiday Hotel is because of the location and convenience to walk around. I would come back to the same hotel again but I hope the same situation will not happen again.

Nice clean hotel, close to tram stop in Sultanahmet opposite the mosque. Friendly staff and great service!!

Value for money gr8 location for site seeing is also gr8 and the new think that the new airport shuttle bus is directly in front of the hotel

Excellent stay, clean, close to all what you need.

The hotel has good and bad points. The location is excellent it is so close to the tourist attractions and close to the tram for transport. Inside the hotel it’s refurbished, clean and nice decor. The room has good facilities like kettle and teabags, fridge, heating and air-conditioning, slippers and a hairdryer.
The bad point is the room is very small with hardly any space where you can put your luggage or clothes. The other bad point is the noise from some of the hotel guests and similarly the cleaners in the morning they start talking to each other and the soundproofing is not good. This is a problem for someone who is light sleeper.
