Pros:

Location good, view excellent. Young lady at reception was very polite and well spoken.

Cons:

Just far too run down, bathroom especially. No WiFi in the rooms. Breakfast horrific. This place has an incredible amount of potential to be a great hotel. I really hope this place gets the love it deserves.

I’d choose it next time again :)
Pros:

Lovely place, great staff, super panorama, swimming pool (even if I couldn’t use it due to the weather) and excellent breakfast I had. I’d choose it next time again in Madeira. Portugal never disappoints :)

Cons:

A small fridge in the room would’ve been amazing but it’s not a deal-breaker.

Fin utsikt, bra ved det utvendige bassengområdet.

Cons:

Veldig gammelt, slitt og utdatert hotell.
Ikke oppvarming eller ventilasjon på rommet eller badet
Balkongen var en vits, firkantet 3 meter høye betongvegger på alle sider, uten noen utsikt.
2 cm åpning mellom dør mellom rommet og korridoren.
Rommet ble definert som "superior"
Parkering var med maks 4 biler, stadig kaos fordi flere hadde behov for parkering
Anbefaler kun hotellet til de som elsker gamle historiske hoteller uavhengig av kvalitet.

Pros:

Super bien placé, hôtel authentique, dans son jus début du siècle. Charme art deco très sympathique. Personnel adorable.

Cons:

Justement , hôtel d’époque équipement d’époque. Les chambres extérieures sont en plein vent nous avons eu froid la nuit.

Lovely spot. We would definitely return.
Pros:

Loved the location with perhaps one of the best terrace views in Funchal.
Lovely staff too. Yes it's a bit tired but we love that as it adds to the atmosphere.

Cons:

No WiFi in the rooms, but it meant putting the phone down and reading!

Cosy hotel.
Pros:

Hotel jest usytuowany blisko centrum i oferuje widok na miasto i océan. Personel bardzo uprzejmy. Specjalne podziękowania dla pana z kuchni.

Cons:

Je regrette mon choix
Cons:

La façade extérieure est trompeuse. Derrière, tout ce que j'ai pu voir et expérimenter est vieux, sale, pas pratique, inconfortable. Une chambre qui ressemble à un placard, un lit avec un énorme "trou" au milieu, des installations électriques d'un autre âge (il y a peut-être d'autres chambres plus modernes), le sol au petit déjeuner qui n'a pas été balayé, personne pour changer les nappes et débarrasser les tables, etc. Et puis l'hôtel est loin de tout (centre, activités, restaurants…) et pour y accéder, il faut grimper de très longues minutes ! Le personnel a essayé de se montrer agréable, face à mon agacement, merci à eux, mais 66 € la nuit pour ce genre de prestations, franchement c'est gonflé !

Idéal pour un séjour familial ou entre amis malgré des équipements vétustes. Un personnel au top !
Pros:

Les gros atouts de cet hôtel sont : l'accueil, la disponibilité et l'amabilité du personnel, le petit-déjeuner qui était bon et plutôt varié, et sa situation géographique (environnement calme et relativement proche du centre-ville).

Cons:

Clairement, le bémol de notre séjour est la chambre : Vieillotte, prises électriques à la limite du fonctionnel, une petite terrasse hors-service, des tâches de rouille dans la baignoire et une salle de bain propre mais vraiment pas de toute fraîcheur (une pomme de douche qui fuit par exemple). Il semblerait néanmoins que cet hôtel comporte 2 parties de chambres : une partie moderne et une nettement plus ancienne.
