Hotel Monte Carlo

The staff, especially Harry, received us professionally and warmly. From our hotel room, with a balcony, we had a beautiful view towards the sea and also the mountain - day and night views were exceptional. Both the room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The hotel also serves breakfasts (included in the booking), as well as dinner if required.
Once we explored the area a little, it was very easy to find our way around; it takes about 10 minutes to walk down to sea level, but a little longer to walk back uphill.
The nearby museum (about 3 minutes' walk away) had a lovely garden and served delicious tea and scones - a welcome break when walking uphill back to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Also, we had booked various hikes and day trips and was picked up and dropped off by the relevant transport at the nearby museum - which was very convenient.
We stayed here for a week and can highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

J ai aimé les grandes chambres mais pas le matelas trop dur et à ressort. Salle de bain propre mais à rénover. Personnel serviable et agréable.

Gostou el estilo colonial

This was my first solo trip, and I stayed at this hotel. The view of the city and the ocean was absolutely beautiful, I loved sitting on the terrace every day and enjoying it.
The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and my room was cleaned daily. I would especially like to highlight the staff, they were incredibly kind and helpful. Whenever I needed anything, they were always happy to assist me, so thank you very much!
I also added breakfast to my stay, and I was very satisfied with it. If you’re not looking for an extensive, multi-course breakfast, I can definitely recommend it.
Madeira was an amazing experience, and I’m grateful I could spend my trip and quiet retreat in such a wonderful place!

Solo travelling by myself and I was a little hesitant at reading the reviews but I kinda loved it. It’s not modern, it’s quirky and definitely a bit of a step back through time. You’ll find no beige suites here. What you will find are large, clean rooms, I had a private terrace and access to the pool which is perfect on a hot summers day. The most helpful and lovely members of staff and a hotel that never ceases to amaze in both its antiquities and the views. Yes not everything is perfect and yes the breakfast is a little lacking, but a real steal for the price and wonderful panoramic views.

Une vue magnifique, une situation appréciée (par des bons marcheurs) à distance suffisante des zones les plus animées tout en étant rapidement accessibles, un accueil irréprochable du personnel toujours parfaitement à l'écoute.. Une bonne note en sur les cocktails.

I loved this hotel! The view from my window was stunning!

problème avec un hébergement, en 30 minutes j'ai réservé via booking, la chambre était prête en arrivant. La réceptionniste m'a aidé dans mon litige avec l'hébergement qui a annulé ma réservation mais encaissé l'argent. le problème a été résolut très vite.
