Very friendly staff, good central location, amazing view from the room window
Earlier breakfast would be nice, pillows weren't the most comfortable
Unbeatable price in Funchal! Don't let the 3* scare you! While arriving you will already be blown away with the view over Funchal from the hotel. Staff was extremely nice as well - very friendly! We had booked a room woth ocean view (which is a bit far, but you know that with a city hotel). Had exactly that with a nice balcony overlooking their pool as well. Room was big! Bathroom nothing spectacular, but clean and you have all you need. Breakfast was simple but exceeded my expectations from a 3* property!
You have a small parking spot included as well. Space for around 4 (max 5) cars. But honestly - we easily got one and were happy with it!
There are a lot of standard 4* Hotels in Funchal, which in mz opinion can't compete with Monte Carlo! If you are planning two or three nights (like we did) - I can 100% recommend this hotel! :-)
Can't think of anything! Everything was great!
A beautiful old building, yet neglected in every way. Lovely sun room for breakfast, made terrible by the ancient tables, chairs, cutlery and coffee machine. 2 out of 10. A cat in the dining area. A cat.
No WiFi in the room, but it is in the library, that is not good enough. Rough towels, poor breakfast, breakfast room opened late. Coffee terrible, juice bad. Not enough sockets, no kettle in the room, no stopper for the sink. Long walk up serious hills from town. Carpet on the stairs worn threadbare, everything on a shoestring, it needs investment to make it enjoyable.
Price location for our 1 super quick night stop after landing late.
Not too far from the main tourist spots. Restaurants
The hotel needs a lot of TLC, the room we had looked like it wasn't changed ,touched in like 50 years.
The furniture, the bed, the shower curtains, the taps, the curtains, the mattress everything is quite out dated.
The windows are single glazing, barely closing.
Bones vistes, personal molt agradable, i pàrquing a l'hotel
The hotel has a beautiful view, old, but it has its own buzz, clean, breakfasts are good - nothing superfluous, but just what you need to start the day. The staff is friendly and responsive. Excellent value for money. The view is incredible, beautiful both day and night. The pool is not big, but enough to take a dip. Especially good are the rooms with ocean views, high ceilings... In general, I recommend 👍👍👍
It's not that I didn't like it, I didn't expect the service and atmosphere of a five-star hotel from the troika.... Most likely, I did not have enough hairdryer and at least whitewash the track numbers. The T4 race is large and spacious. And also you need some kind of latch for the shutter so that it does not close from the wind. We had to hang a chair so that it would not close and there would be more light.
