Pros:

O hotel é muito elegante, os quartos são ótimos e espaçosos. O café da manhã é excelente. Os funcionários são muito atenciosos e prestativos. Fica próximo da estação de trem e das atrações tanto da cidade nova quanto da cidade velha. Na rua do hotel tem excelentes bares e restaurantes. Eles tem uma opção na reserva do quarto chamada de "Stocked minibar", nessa opção você pode consumir todos os produtos do frigobar sem custos extras.

Pros:

The staff were really good.

Cons:

The value wasn’t there. Broken items in room. No casting on the old tv, and very few local stations to watch. Bathroom is so small—elbows in while showering 🤨 I was given what I would regard as the worst room in the place. The manager moved us the second night to prevent us from checking out, but it was only marginally better.

The hotel is in an excellent location and for a city centre hotel, the room was very spacious. The staff are lovely and the hotel superbly clean.

A beautiful, welcoming hotel that made our birthday weekend in Edinburgh truly special.
Pros:

We had a wonderful weekend stay here to celebrate my partner Jess's birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond to make it special. The customer service was incredible — every member of staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The space itself is stunning: beautifully decorated throughout, with a real sense of character and elegance that made the stay feel like a treat. A perfect choice for a special occasion in Edinburgh and we'd happily return.

A mixed bag
Pros:

It’s a beautiful hotel in the New Town and I was very excited to be staying here.

Made to feel very welcome on arrival.

My room was in the new part of the hotel, it was comfortable but the noise from the road at night was significant.

I paid for access to the lounge. The service in there is lovely but the canapés for evening meal were a bit underwhelming. Breakfast in the morning though was excellent, tasty and plentiful.
