Please note that the hotel is located in a National Park. Private cars are not allowed in the park area. There is a free shuttle service between the hotel and the park entrance available 24 hours a day, every 20 minutes from 7am to midnight. A private transfer can also be arranged. The entrance fee to the National Park is already included in the daily rate. For more information, please contact the property.

This is one of my favorite hotels of all time. You just can’t put a price to the early morning and late evening access to the falls when there are no other visitors allowed in the park. The hotel itself was amazing too. This was our first, but definitely not our last Belmond.
O prédio é lindo, excelente localização bem nas Cataratas. O quarto é muito confortável e os funcionários solícitos. O chech-in efetuado de forma relaxada com atendimento na mesa personalizado é um bom diferencial.
O preço de tudo é extremamente caro. As refeições a la carte sao caras demais para a qualidade apresentada. Ao reservar passeios nao atentaram para o melhor preço possível ( elegíveis a meia entrada pela senioridade). Corrigiram prontamente no check-out após alerta do hóspede.

Location was fantastic! Walking out of the hotel and you can see the Iguazu waterfalls.
Every single staff we met were friendly and helpful. Our driver, Ithamar was amazing.
We enjoyed the welcome drink and the chocolate as we checked in. Room was beautifully appointed. The receptionist walked us to our room to show it to us-I thought that was very personalized. He explained and showed the place around as he took us to our room. We took the hotel's services and Ithamar drove us to the Argentina side to show us the waterfalls form that side. He was on time, detailed and resourceful and made sure we got on an early train and finished seeing Devil's throat first before it got too hot and crowded.
We also signed up very last minute for the boat trip on the Brazilian side through the hotel. We enjoyed the fact that we got picked up from the hotel, was given towels and poncho, our wet clothes were dried back and given back within a short time.
The breakfast buffet provided an amazing choice. We enjoyed the food. The sunset champagne was great too. Was late in going the second day-so missed it by 2 minutes! don't forget to see the tower-very beautifully painted and the view is nice too. I also loved the little surprise they gave us at the check out.
It is a very minor thing but both days we felt if we are not having the buffet for dinner-service was a bit slow at the restaurant. I wish they had washed and dried the clothes after the boat trip rather than just drying them -considering it was expensive. The prices are steep-so the stay was once in a life time kind of deal for us.
Location and park access.
Our booking was for the express purpose of Cataratas guests having exclusive access to the park before and after park hours…that’s what the Cataratas advertises. We took them at their word.
So, we get up at 6am and there are busses unloading people outside…lots of people.
We paid nearly $1,700 for two nights in their cheapest accommodation (superior room).
Sure, the place is very nice—great (expensive) food, great service—but, if we had known about the buses, I doubt we would have stayed there given our objective was unencumbered photographic access before and after park hours.
If access before/after park hours is what you are after, we suggest future guests research what the early busses was about—paid special access, maybe?
If that’s the case, one could stay nearby and ride the busses in before the general public. Save a lot of money-
