The breakfast at the resort was good. Location was good.
My sheets were not clean. The room wasn't very clean
Friendly staff
My stay at the Avista was first class. Friendly staff, nice environment, and a surplus of amenities made this trip the total package. Also stopped at the pool side and indoor bars a few nights. One of night the bartenders name was Tage. He was the best I had. The drinks he made were top notch and the environment he created made everyone in the room feel welcome. He has a great personality and to me was one of the best people I met while being here at the Avista. All in all it was a great time and I will definitely be coming back in the near future.
My experience started off a little shaky however, I can’t fault Avista for Spectrum and their light company’s issues. But I did have just 1 issue but Mrs. Veronica resolved it. Avista is a gorgeous place to stay and the view is amazing. My next goal is to stay on the 17 floor just to experience it.

Tage is the greatest bartender in all of NMB! My wife and I came back to Avista one night after dinner just to have his service again. You cannot beat the service!
The resort was great! We had breakfast once in the restaurant, which was very nice. This is my second time at Avista and it did not disappoint.
Bryan helped us with our luggage as we were leaving, and I cannot say enough good things about him. Very helpful and gave us some good information about local eateries. Thank you Bryan!!
Staff was very helpful and informative and willing to assist with anything.
The room I stayed in was clean but was a little dated.
The bartenders are the nicest people! Loved the view! Great access to the beach!
The lounge is underwhelming. The food was decent. Pool towels were so hard to get. The beds were very uncomfortable! Almost rather sleep on the floor.
Oceanfront room, spacious.
I like the fact the property was convenient to the beach and other stores like Walmart.
I could hear everything in the rooms next to us. We could hear people in the hallway after the quiet hours.
Layout of room was very nice
Worst beds I have ever slept on, furniture was not comfortable to sit on, bedroom was hot while rest of from was freezing
This is our 4th year in a row we have stayed at Avista. For the most part our stay was like the prior years - clean room, friendly staff, good housekeeping, room issues resolved in a timely manner (when we arrived this year we had a clogged toilet and bathtub drain that wouldn't stay open - both were fixed within an hour). During prior stays we were required to wear wrist bands that identified us as guests and the resort staff walked around the pool area checking them. This year, we didn't receive the wrist bands and most people weren't wearing them. We observed entire families at the pool would leave and walk to the public parking area next to the resort and load their towels/bags /etc into their cars and leaving. They obviously weren't guests of the resort. One of the days we had someone use our towels at the pool and leave them on the chairs. The following day we had someone take 4 towels and towel clips off the pool chairs we had them on while we were at the beach. We reported our concerns about the non-guest and the towel situations and there was nothing they could/or would do. I first 3 years we stayed were great, this year was disappointing. I don't see us returning.
