Brilliant location to stay in Düsseldorf!
Pros:

The location was perfect. Right in the heart of the city Center next to Hofgarten. And a 10 min walk to the Rhine!

The first room they gave us had no view, I called down and they moved moved us to on of the best rooms in the hotel. It was amazing.

Jones Brasserie on sight was incredible as well!

Licht und leider (zuviel) Schatten
Pros:

Die Lage des Traditionshauses ist wunderbar - mitten im städtischen Treiben und doch ruhig genug. Das grosszügige Zimmer, hervorragende Betten und die zuvorkommenden Wagenmeister bei Ankunft sind ein echtes Plus.

Cons:

Leider passt das Personal bzw. deren Einstellung nicht zum hochwertigen 5-Sterne-Ambiente und wären vielleicht noch für ein 3-Sterne Business-Hotel ok. Beispiele: Housekeeping klopft an einem Samstag vor 09:00 Uhr, das bis 12:00 Uhr verfügbare und auch ausdrücklich bei Check-out/Zahlung bis dahin als „benutzt“ erwähnt, finden wir das Zimmer um 11:40 Uhr mit Reinigungspersonal vor - hat es eine Rückkopplung von Seiten der Rezeption gegeben oder waren die Reinigungskräfte einfach überaktiv? Beim Check-in um zusätzliche Handtücher gebeten und erst auf erneute Nachfrage direkt beim Housekeeping gebracht. In der Bar stehen - offenbar in der Schichtwechselphase - drei Mitarbeiter mehrere Minuten mit dem Rücken zu den Gästen und unterhalten sich angeregt, ohne sich meldende Gäste an den Tischen wahrnehmen. Beim Frühstück wird dreimal falsch gebracht bzw. vergessen und erinnert.
Jedes Beispiel für sich, ist unschön - aber unkritisch. Für ein Haus mit dem Anspruch in dieser Lage leider einfach in der Häufung nicht ok.

Auch der Einsatz von blanken Tischen aus dem Veranstaltungssortiment im Frühstücksraum ist an sich erstmal nicht schlimm - aber warum bitte liegt dann keine Tischdecke darüber, die die häßliche Mechanik verdeckt?

Wie gesagt, für ein 3-Sterne-Hotel wöre das noch irgendwie akzeptabel - aber 5-Sterne ist das leider nicht.
