I’ll break everything down point by point:
— There are cockroaches in the rooms!
— Expired products are being served, such as ketchup and mayonnaise (I am attaching photos).
— Very noisy. Absolutely no sleep. Because of the discos (at night) and because of breakfast (in the morning) — staff shout loudly and make a lot of noise moving things around early in the morning. And during the day they do reconstruction — repairing empty rooms on the third floor. Why they do renovations in the summer season is unclear.
— Food is à la carte. Breakfast does not always match the menu. It says “fresh papaya or mango,” but in fact everything comes from cans (canned fruit). This type of breakfast is not for everyone. Often you are afraid to take too much, then feel embarrassed to leave it, so you force yourself to eat it. But you won’t stay hungry. The coffee is bad.
— Dinner is a disaster. The cook is apparently not a professional. Everything is tasteless, poor in variety, and not always fresh. Monotonous — just a basic salad at the buffet, which is often empty. The wine is of average quality. Spoiled juices are served, expired ketchup, and so on. I’ll attach a photo of one example. Also, if in the morning you ordered fish for dinner, but in the evening you suddenly want meat, you cannot change it unless you pay extra. With half board plus you only get one drink included.
— Most of the staff are good. Especially noteworthy: a strong girl with a braid at breakfast — hardworking and polite. A tall blonde from the Netherlands — creative and attentive, works both breakfast and dinner shifts. Salvatore from Italy — works occasionally, but also at breakfasts and dinners. Sidi is also very good, he tries hard. At the reception all the men are very attentive, especially Detlev.
— Bed linen and towels are worn out. Cleaning was good only on the first day when we checked in, later it was mediocre. A couple of times they forgot to clean at all. But there were always enough supplies, and the room itself is nice and comfortable.
— Not enough loungers at the pool, because people reserve them in advance.
— There is no entertainment in the hotel except bingo.
— The price for the hotel is reasonable.
I do not recommend it for families with children or for elderly people — you can go crazy from the constant noise, both at night and during the day. It is suitable for young people looking for a short burst of fun. And for those who care more about being at the seaside than all the disadvantages listed above — since the sea is only 10 minutes away from the hotel.
Whilst some of the furniture may feel slightly dated the hotel was really good. The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Friendly atmosphere,
I would have liked a little bit more sun on our balcony
The hotel was lovely and it was spotlessly clean. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was lovely. The hotel is only a short walk to the beach, and there are many very good restaurants close by.
There is a nite club below the hotel. When making our booking we requested a quiet room. However, we we put directly above the nite club which thumped all night until about 5.30am. We moved rooms to the front of the hotel, but it faces a busy street and the music from the bars and restaurants can be heard well into the night.
Good service, but old and worn out hotel.
4 am the disco bar, next to the hotel started partying, extreme loud techno music for 3-4 hours, we didn´t sleep that much. Insane to have a disco as neighbour.
We wil lnever come back, even for free.
Very spacious apartment. None of the furniture seemed worn-down, despite having an older style. There is only A/C in the bedroom, which is not a problem if you are not staying in the apartment during the day. The bathroom was also spacious, shower pressure was great. The toilet did not flush well. My room was located on the street where there were some small clubs. The music woke me up every night around 4am unless I wore earplugs and played white noise. I stayed in the small annex building, so I'm sure that's not an issue in the newer part of the hotel.
The bedroom is a good size, but the mattresses were very uncomfortable. They were old spring mattresses; very hard. The pillows were also very flat, needed to be replaced.
The property itself was very well maintained, and the pool was amazing. The restaurant/bar staff were excellent, as were all of the food and drink. Also a great location, being very close to the beach, a bus stop, and some good restaurants.
I had booked into hotel karina I didn’t even stay there that night I left it was awful. I went to this hotel it was late at night and they were so accommodating and helpful. The whole stay was amazing the staff were so friendly the breakfast was fabulous the sun does shine on terrace up until evening time then the sun has gone past hotel but this shouldn’t deter there is a fabulous jacuzzi in the pool area loads of beds we literally had pool to ourselves most days we loved our stay here couldn’t fault this hotel at all
Everything pool fabulous jacuzzi amazing staff fabulous so clean and room fabulous with free air conditioning in bedroom we also had breakfast included which was also Beautiful . I ended up going to This hotel late at night because the hotel I was booked into was awful I had to leave but the staff at this hotel couldn’t of done anymore for us we enjoyed our stay here so much
Nothing
Hotel itself not bad but pool area is dire. Sun only manages to shine on a few sun beds owing to the hotel building itself blocking it out. Only ever seen the beds along the wall in use. They do have big double beds on a roof terrace which can catch the sun but by about midday the sun disappears over the hotel. As a sun worshipper I wouldn’t stay here as most of the area is in the dark. This was December/January, iv no idea what it’s like in high summer. This is a shame as the area itself is perfect to get around.
Recently stayed at Maritim for a few nights and could not fault the place.
Upon arrival we were greeted with a glass of bubbly and were checked in within just a few moments, this was despite arriving some hours before the official ‘check in time’ but were accommodated without any issues whatsoever.
Apartment was lovely and large, if not slightly dated in decor (not a problem for us), spotlessly clean, comfortable and with great aircon. There was a small mini bar and coffee machine with competitive prices clearly laid out in the welcome pack so you knew exactly what you were spending.
We only stayed on a B and B basis, but the breakfasts options were fantastic with a huge variety. The hotel is still a little Covid cautious so no Buffett, but you tick what you’d like and staff would bring it all out to you…. As many times as you like!
Pool area was lovely and there always seemed to be beds available despite the number of rooms. We spent one day at the pool which only had a handful of other people around it. No sun bed wars here I tell you!
Overall a great place, run by lovely people, and in a fantastic location. I would definitely return again and encourage others to as well….
Thank you
Bodde åtta nätter i februari 2022. Standardlägenhet med separat sovrum, pentry och balkong. Trångt men funkade. Sängar, täcken och kuddar kändes som från 70-talet. Hotellet dominerades totalt av tyskar. Poolen ligger i skugga under stor del av dagen. Vänligt bemötande av flerspråkig personal. Bra läge, tre kvarter från stranden.
From walking in the door and being greeted by Roland with champagne this hotel is spotless the food is wonderful and the staff can't do enough the rooms are spotless cleaned and in your room there is water and refreshments in the fridge if your looking for a wonderful break this is a great hotel and the young lady that rides a scooter to work is very helpful on reception but as are all the staff thank you all for a great relaxing holiday.
Visited the week lock down ended got a bargain. This hotel is more for the Germans but staff were lovely. The owners spoke to most people at breakfast apart from me and my friend. Oh and then told us off for something we didn’t know about but everyone else did.
Breakfast was nice plenty to choose from. Pizza’s and cocktails were good. Pool bar staff really friendly.
Rooms spotless. Roof terrace really nice for social distancing.
Bodde der kun en natt. Vår opplevese var veldig positiv, service veldig bra, fikk rom da vi kom kl 11. Fint rom, fint bad, bra frokost, leide seng på solterrasse (en mulighet, finnes gratis senger) fint bassengområde, litt amputert plass, pga julemarked som arrangeres de første helgene i desember.
This was just as lovely as holiday can be.
We had arrived slightly past 2 a.m. and had nicest welcome at the reception, were immidiately told that because we have missed our dinner that day they have put the food in the fridge in our room so we have something to eat after our arrival. Just sweet.
The apartment wasn't newly furnished or so but was perfectly clean, equipped with hairdryer, coffeemachine, two TVs and air conditioning.
After just asking for gluten free bread at breakfasts the night we arrived the staff themselves kept track on what dinners have I chosen and made sure I got the gluten free version - without having to ask anyone.
The half board system was also very lovely. We chose our dinner menu in the morning and in the evening we just came to the restaurant and the three-course dinner was served by waiters - no mess around buffets and crazy queues like in other hotels.
The pool area is also clean and very nice, there were a lot of sunbeds available at all times. It is kept nicely quiet and relaxing.
The staff was as nice as can be and made sure the guests have best stay possible.
It is a family hotel owned and run by Germans so naturally a lot of stuff is in German but most of the signs were easily understandable with basic germans knowledge and the important information including the dinner menu was in English as well.
Excellent services for the price (70EUR/room HB in August, booked through TA website).
Our room was slightly loud - there was some kind of club underneath the balcony but once we closed the windows and turned on the AC we were able to sleep very well.
It is about 10 min walk to the beach and you have to take stairs of lift. I recommend not staying at the overcrowded "city" beach full of sunbeds and walking a little bit closer to the dunes. It is a nice beach walk and you get to be on the beach almost just by yourself if you're lucky.
We can't comment on the accommodation as we wasn't staying at the hotel but I wanted to write a quick review to say how much we enjoyed the octoberfest evening and entertainment.
We wasn't staying at the hotel but when we went in to see what was happening we were made to feel very welcome by friendly staff and guests and probably had the best night of our holiday.
We only wished that we were there for the following Saturday night festival.
I arrived at the maritime player on 11th of August 18 and still have a few days remaining.
Me and my partner were happy that our request of a room away from noise was granted. Our room is very tidy and extremely well cleaned.
The breakfast has a vast selection which is tasty and the pool is a good size and clean. In my experience here most guests are German and are very polite.
The only down side is there isnt much going on around the pool as you are not aloud balls or floats. So it's no good for families with children although the beach is a small walk and there is plenty of food and drink places within a 5 minute walk. In the reviews I read before coming mentioned noise from the night clubs but I haven't witnessed any of this. Maybe because I'm on the top floor opposite side.
Overall. Great!
