A beautiful resort with great potential, but unfortunately the service and experience were nowhere near 5-star standards

The resort is quite large and has a really nice swimming pool. The water was very warm, which was great, especially for the kids.

Cons:

Unfortunately, our experience was far below what we would expect from a 5-star resort.

From the very beginning, there were problems. When we arrived around 2:00 PM, the reception staff could not even find our reservation in the system. I provided my passport and surname, but apparently our booking had not been properly entered. Our rooms were also not ready, so we had to wait in the lobby while they prepared two rooms.

What was most disappointing was the complete lack of apology or any gesture to compensate for the inconvenience. We were simply told that it was the weekend and that there were some issues with the system.

The resort was almost empty during our stay, which is understandable during the low season and rainy period. However, it felt like the hotel was operating with the absolute minimum staff and facilities. Air conditioning was switched off in many areas, and on our first morning breakfast was served in the bar, with alcohol displayed on the shelves around us. Only from the second day was breakfast served in the proper restaurant area.

I understand that there are fewer guests during the low season, but that should not mean that the level of service drops from 5-star standards to something closer to 2 or 3 stars. If a resort advertises itself as 5-star, guests should receive 5-star service regardless of how busy the hotel is.

The resort itself is large and has a nice swimming pool, but unfortunately the service and overall experience did not match the 5-star standard we expected.

Splnilo očekávání 🙂 Velmi dobrá poloha pro cesty k chrámům i do centra. V blízkosti restaurace, trhy i supermarkety. Hotel je trochu starší a při nízké obsazenosti se šetří, ale zase je zde klid a bazén má člověk pro sebe 👍 Čistota a úklid zcela v pořádku. Výběr u snídaně by mohl být větší, ale stačilo. Personál usměvavý a ochotný. Měl jsem pokoj Deluxe Double s terasou a výhledem na bazén. Pokoj působil útulně a na posteli se spalo dobře 🙂

We were very disappointed with our stay.
Cons:

It’s a Bit outside, food at the hotel is pricey.
An older man was completely naked at the pool area and stood directly in front of us smiling while undressing. Staff only asked him to take a towel, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable and honestly harassed in that situation.

At breakfast, several guests came wearing only towels and nobody from the hotel staff said anything. Overall, there seemed to be no standards or enforcement regarding appropriate behavior in public areas.

Another major issue was the constant cigarette smoke:
• smoking on the entire hallway
• smoking around the pool
• smoking directly in front of the hotel entrance

When we addressed this with the staff, we were simply told that “Chinese guests smoke a lot.” We did not feel taken seriously at all, especially after the incident at the pool.

The room was only properly cleaned on the third day. Before that, there was dust and dirt visible on the floor the entire time. We also noticed many small bugs throughout the hotel.

Overall, the stay felt very uncomfortable and poorly managed, especially regarding cleanliness, smoking, and guest behavior.
