The hotel is 197 feet straight ahead, at the corner of the next block.

Great and affordable, not very calm
Pros:

Being able to check in at midnight when we got delayed helped a lot. The place itself was charming and staff always avaliable and nice.

Cons:

The ceilings and walls were VERY thin. We slept pretty bad due to lots of noise from the upstairs. Late at night and early morning it sounded like someone was running back and forth, very noisy. Laundry was not functioning when we were there, so we had to use nearby coin laundry - Which was also fine. The area feels distinctly not Japanese, so if this is a value, I'd pick another area.

Could be better...
Pros:

Great staff , clean room, and very close to all attractions Shinjuku has to offer!

Cons:

Very basic room, like you are back in the 80's Motel 6 set up, no window, pitch dark in the middle of the day, very small bathroom, very small bed, but comfortable, 24 inch TV with 5 Japanies station only, no WIFI , nothing international about this hotel, it might be okay if you are staying for one night and are about 5 feet tall...!

This was a passable hotel, but compared to other luxurious nearby hotels which cost us around same price per night, it w

It was in a convenient location to train stations and sleeping, though difficult, was not impossible (like some other hotels). Beds were comfortable enough.

Cons:

Stains all over the carpet, it was extremely hot in the room when we arrived, and the air conditioner makes a screeching whistle constantly. This seems to be a hotel that hasn't been updated in a very long time. The bathroom had dark brown slime around the bottom of toilet and shower wall tiles. There's also no elevator (at least in the annex part) so we had to lug our bags up three flights of stairs.

Do not stay here!!
Pros:

Good location near main station Shinjuku and even closer to Okubo Shinjuku station.

Cons:

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with our stay. Our room was on the ground floor, and directly outside the window was another building, so there was virtually no natural light.

The humidity in the room was extremely high — around 77%. The duvet was noticeably yellowed on the inside, and the carpet was very dirty. We also noticed some debris coming from the air conditioning, which was not very reassuring.

On top of that, we woke up covered in bites, which made the stay particularly uncomfortable.

We are not difficult guests and we understand that when travelling on a budget, you cannot expect luxury. However, basic hygiene and cleanliness should still be a minimum, regardless of the price.

For the same price, or just a little more, you can definitely find better accommodation. Based on our experience, we would recommend avoiding this place if possible
