Our stay at the Imperial Hotel Tramontano was extremely disappointing. The room was outdated, worn, and in poor condition. Most concerning was the lack of cleanliness. We found black hairs, lint, dirt, and bugs throughout the bedroom and bathroom. It was immediately apparent that the room had not been properly cleaned, which is unacceptable at any hotel, let alone one charging premium rates.
We reported the issues and provided photographs, yet it took days for management to respond. When they finally did, there was no meaningful acknowledgment of the poor housekeeping conditions, no effort to make things right, and no compensation offered. The breakfast was also disappointing and did not come close to the standard expected at a hotel of this price point. Between the dirty room, outdated facilities, poor housekeeping, and indifferent customer service, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had. We would not recommend staying here.

I booked this months before traveling and when I arrived I thought - this can't be what I booked - it's too nice! The hotel is beautiful and has beautiful grounds around it. A bit of an oasis. I guess I decided to splurge when I booked! The lobby is lovely and the bar is absolutely beautiful, with an amazing terrace for cocktails. The staff was wonderful. Perfect location. We had a pool view room which was lovely.

A Perfect Stay in Sorrento – Truly Exceptional in Every Way

Our stay at Hotel Tramontano was absolutely outstanding and exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived until the day we reluctantly checked out, every aspect of our experience was exceptional.

The staff was simply amazing. Every team member we encountered was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable. Their attention to detail and willingness to assist with anything we needed made us feel incredibly well cared for throughout our visit.

Our room was magnificent—beautifully appointed, spacious, impeccably clean, and with breathtaking views that made it difficult to leave each morning. Waking up and looking out over the Bay of Naples was something we will never forget.

The location could not have been more perfect. Situated just steps from the heart of Sorrento, we were able to easily explore the town, enjoy the shops and restaurants, and access ferries and excursions while still feeling like we were staying in a peaceful oasis.

The food was another highlight of our stay. Breakfast each morning was fantastic, offering a wonderful selection of fresh and delicious options. We also enjoyed meals at the hotel and were consistently impressed by both the quality of the food and the attentive service.

What truly sets Hotel Tramontano apart is the combination of old-world Italian charm, stunning surroundings, and a team that genuinely cares about creating a first-class guest experience. It is rare to find a hotel that gets every detail right, but Hotel Tramontano does exactly that.

Thank you to the entire team for making our time in Sorrento so special. We left with wonderful memories and cannot wait to return. Without question, this was one of the finest hotel experiences we have had anywhere in the world.

Amazing location made it so convenient. The staff and facilities were outstanding and so helpful. Room was lovely with a beautiful view.

This is a fantastic location, and the front garden is beautiful! As other reviewers mention, there is almost no soundproofing. People in the hall woke me up at night, and in the bathroom, I could hear entire conversations next door. The staff was warm and helpful. I would stay here again but bring your earplugs. Breakfast is pretty good, especially as you sit facing the Bay of Naples.
