Well presented. Room was large and very clean with excellent facilities. Bar area and restaurant were inviting. Staff very friendly.
The scenery
The restaurant was an absolute joke staff didn’t know what they were doing we walked out after 2 hours and got a takeout
Very grand when you arrive. Polite staff. Lovely setting for breakfast
I have written a number of complaints with regard to how bad the stay was, the staff are stand offish and the rooms and cleanliness are appalling
The rooms were unclean, the condition of the property is poor and the whole thing is run on a shoestring, not maintained and not cleaned, cobwebs on the walls, floors and lights. Rubbish in the bed side cabinets, dirty bathrooms and rude staff
Lovely facilities.
Temporary road works.

All good
The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful! The food was very nice at breakfast
The fact that there wasn't a magnifying mirror, which would be appreciated for doing makeup.
It would be great to have a hand held shower, as its easier to wash just my hair instead of having to get wet all over in the shower!
Two male guests put the football sound up very loud in the bar area
The other 5 guests and i did not appreciate it at all. Not everyone loves football!
Maybe bar staff could ask for them to turn the sound down?
location
all okay
The location and grounds were lovely. We were able to book a two bedroom apartment and for what we paid the property was perfectly satisfactory.
The property is in need of repairs. Simple maintenance issues that would make a massive difference. The apartments also need checking regular for the equipment provided - again very simple but makes a great difference to the overall experience.
Also, I do not like any restaurant that applies a service charge to the food bill. We were a group of 3 so did not need the assumption that a 10% service charge should be added.
Location in parkland is lovely
Run down..room looked shabby and shower flooded bathroom… and poor room set up… such as no shampoo in bottle…and had booked an apartment but got a call while driving there to say they were cancelling as overbooked… after I didn’t accept that they offered 2 adjacent rooms which I had to accept. I was offered free gym access as an apology but wasn’t in a position to take advantage of it.
These are not cheap rooms.
The surroundings were really lovely,we had our dog with us so there were plenty to walk him. Because it was a beautiful evening we sat outside and had a relaxing drink. The room was adequate size for us,very clean.
The bed could do with either new mattress or a thick topper has could feel springs when turning over. The air-conditioning would not turn to cold no way of putting the freezing emblem on just the sunshine emblem on. Had to just open the small window
The old hall part and grounds was beautiful and very good price
The suite I had in a a lovely but it wasn’t the one I’d booked from the pictures it it should have had a four poster and a roll top bath but I did email the property about it afterward as they was full so couldn’t have done anything about it anyway and it was a lovely room just not the one I ordered
Beautiful views
Our room was full of cobwebs
The whole area - beautiful, peaceful and wonderful walks
The only thing I could say was that no decaf tea was in the room. Glad. I brought my own
