Pros:

The bed

Cons:

Ground floor room. No table and chairs on the patio. Pate only 2 small pieces of bread. Branston pickle. Due to the heat. No umbrellas on the tables outside the restaurant

Hôtel vieillissant dans la campagne anglaise
Pros:

Calme et clim dans la chambre supérieure. Situation bucolique. Manoir anglais typique.

Cons:

Terrible customer service and lack of information. Don’t bother
Pros:

Clean, decent rooms with a bit of garden space that wasn’t expected

Cons:

Trying to get any information out of the staff was a nightmare. I asked for a restaurant menu and spa menu days before but was consistently told to call the hotel instead. Why is there no written info to browse. I wanted to share this with the other person I was sharing with so we could plan our stay. No idea whether we could enter the hotel earlier to use the spa facilities so I didn’t bother in the end. No robes or spa details in the rooms. Found out there was a £12 surcharge just for a short time in the pool so didn’t bother doing this either.
Automatic check in meant there was no staff around to ask questions. Would be fine if there was a working website or info in the rooms but the customer service was just appalling.
Waste of money and I could’ve stayed elsewhere much cheaper to just arrive and head to bed.
Even after the stay I was sent several links to post a review but none of them worked.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had.
Pros:

The surroundings looked beautiful. Although unlike other guests we were not informed of what was surrounding us

Cons:

Bathroom had mould. All other aspects were ok. Nothing special

Overall nice hotel and fine for our requirement but with sons attention to detail could be top class but good value for
Pros:

Location nice, good restaurant and comfortable room.

Cons:

Parts of the hotel look a little tired and in need of renovation. Our patio door did not close properly and only held in position by latch so security not great in that respect!

So many missed opportunities, what could and should have an epic stay ended up being simply mediocre! Such a shame!
Pros:

This is a stunning location and property and the stay could have been fantastic but it just fell short and it really shouldn’t have!

Cons:

The accommodation area carpets were tired, the whole place desperately needs a lick of paint, the beds were uncomfy and the ribeye steak was an absolute rip off, would have been better in Wetherspoons! It was chewy and the service from one two of the staff members was poor! They didn’t even turn on the restaurant aircon on a really hot day!

Quiet, clean and comfortable “spa” is not included.
Pros:

Lovely country location. Spacious room

Cons:

Needs some TLC. Disappointed the spa facilities are not automatically included in the room rate. Per person per day charges applied as it’s a separate business to the hotel.

Disappointed
Pros:

Beds were comfy

Cons:

I feel as though I was quite mislead with the listing, the description and photos are described as we would be staying in the actual castle. I also wasn’t happy that you had to pay £12 per person to use the swimming facilities as again i was mislead with the information
