Hotel is in a lovely setting
Don't bother with the breakfast and dinner package. Too busy to actually be served. Literally had to get own crockery, water etc
The room and grounds were stunning, definitely will stay there again.
I was told the swimming/spa facilities were included but then it said I had to pay an extra £12pp for the use so I never used them
Beautiful location. I wish my stay had been longer to explore.
The entrance the sat nav took us to had 2 bollards close together by the entrance that we had to drive through. There was no indication of there being another entrance. It was very difficult in the dark.
The room was very warm but it had been a hot day.
The carpets were very worn. Needed some tlc.
If you have high standards DO NOT stay here, I have never visited a hotel with such lack of cleanliness , cheap furniture and appalling customer service.
This place is filthy and disgusting there are no other words. I asked to go to another room and the new room was just as bad which made me leave. The feeling of not wanting to sit on any furniture says it all. And btw this is the SUPERIOR suite actually laughable.
Friendly staff, nice rooms and hotel grounds
Treatments and location
Paid twice to reserve property as app was playing up...no jacuzzi and the steam room was too small and packed so didn't get to use
The bed was comfy.
The restaurant was very overpriced for the food on offer.
A rump steak was £34.50, the flat iron steak my husband had was £26!
A glass of large red wine was £11.00
Side salad £5.25 a tea cup size serving.
The spa facilties, the steam room was out of order. The spa looks very outdated and needs some TLC.
The whole place needs some serious TLC and then it would be stunning and worth the 4*.
For a cheap no frills night away the room is ok, but they make the money up from the extortionate food prices.
Staff were friendly and attentive
N/a
The room and beds and bathroom were clean, but run down though
Spa is tired, un safe and in need of a revamp. Steam room doesn’t work and sauna can fit about 3 people in at a push. Very tired facilities
Stayed at this property for my partner’s birthday, after seeing so many negative reviews I was so happy that we booked there. Staff will go above and beyond to accommodate you. Didn’t know it was dog friendly so will definitely be back.
Drinks are pricey and as it was a birthday weekend they were plentiful
Beautiful
Does need updating, drinks are pricey
The location is superb, far away from anything else but as long as you are aware of this you can enjoy.
The bedroom lacked air conditioning and was very warm. There bathroom needed some upkeep as there was mould within the grouting in the shower and there was no soap in the shower. The spa facilities are very very small, and was too busy to enjoy. Would be worth booking timed sessions to improve customer enjoyment. Also the steam room was out of action.
The room we had in the house was lovely
The restaurant was a disappointment still after two years.
Took 35 minutes for us to sit down, not having a cooler for the wine was bizarre. Food was good once received.
