Very nice hotel with a great breakfast and hard entrance/exit. Would not recommend for older guests

Large set of steps necessary to navigate to get down to the front desk and up from it after checkout. Many guests were struggling with their luggage. None of the staff offered to help.

Notre séjour c’est très bien passé Metz est une belle ville il y a beaucoup à visiter le personnel dans la restauration

Great hotel in good location
Pros:

Great modern hotel. The room was fantastic, loads of space with fridge, hairdryer, safe. Short walk to town.

Parking available at front of the hotel for approx €25 first come basis.

We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the restaurant.

Cons:

The €150 security charge at check in and expensive breakfast €25 pp

comportement agressif inacceptable d'un serveur du restaurant de l'hôtel MGalerie de Metz. Dimanche 23 août, vers 9h nous nous présentons au petit-déjeuner. Il y avait une personne occupée à la vaisselle derrière le bar, qui nous tournait le dos et personne d'autre. Nous nous sommes donc installés à une table en attendant que quelqu'un vienne. Au bout de 5 minutes, je suis parti à la recherche de quelqu'un. La personne qui essuyait les verres était un stagiaire étranger qui ne parlait pas bien français et qui ne comprenait pas notre demande. Il est donc parti chercher quelqu'un. Le serveur E.... est arrivé et nous lui avons donc posé notre question concernant les petits-déjeuners buffet et express.
Il nous a dit que la personne à la réception du petit-déjeuner avait dû nous le dire. Nous lui avons fait remarquer qu'il n'y avait justement personne, c'est pourquoi le stagiaire était parti le chercher.
Et là stupeur, il nous a repondu textuellement "vous ne pouvez pas dire qu'il n'y avait personne, il y a TOUJOURS quelqu'un". À partir de ce moment le ton est monté car non seulement il refusait de nous croire et rejetait la faute (quelle faute?) sur nous. De plus, au lieu de calmer le jeu et de reprendre les choses calmement, chacune de ses paroles ne faisait que verser de l'huile sur le feu, nous parlant de façon irrespectueuse, puis franchement agressive.
J'ai donc arrêté la discussion pour parler au manager de l'hôtel.
A la réception, on nous a expliqué que le manager était en vacances; j'ai alors demandé un remplaçant et on nous a dit qu'il n'était pas là... bref il n'y avait que des stagiaires dans cet hôtel et aucun responsable.
Une employée a noté nos coordonnées. Le manager ne nous a pas contacté, ce qui aurait été la moindre des choses...
